Good Monday morning, lovelies! How was your weekend? Mine was great. Filled with lots of relaxation and then the Oscars last night ended the weekend on a perfect note. And I was thrilled because all of my favorites won...The King's Speech, Melissa Leo, Christian Bale, Natalie Portman and my ultimate favorite actor Colin Firth. That never happens :)

Of course I'm a little bit tired today because I stayed up late but it was well worth it. Mornings like this call for a little sweetness and lot of caffeine. The perfect way to ease into the week ahead.

How about all of you? How was your weekend? Did you watch the Oscars? What did you think?

xoxo

  1. Exhausting and I took a three day weekend! Three birthday parties, shopping, wedding planning and not a night at home... Started the week with lots of caffeine also! Sal x

  7. It's a 3-day weekend here in Spain, so still chilling. I had to record the Oscars (because of time-zone differences), so will relax and watch it today. Really pleased Colin Firth did well. As a fellow Brit I always felt he was a little under-estimated.

  8. I stayed up late, too, although just from nerves or whathaveyou. This morning I head out to hang a small photographic show of mine in a regional art center. I would love to be as elegant as that last picture as I sip my coffee.

  9. Could these photos be any more perfect? It's like you always know my favourite things and always inspire me in the most beautiful way. Macarons and tea look delightful right now, and love those sunglasses too! Happy Monday Dawn. :)

  23. The weekend has some not so fun events (like computer crashing...but it is getting better!), but loved the Oscars last night. It was a great way to end the evening - and I was happy with most of the wins, always making it more fun! Hope you are having a fabulous start to your week!

  24. I know how you feel. I'm a little wiped out from staying up to watch it, but I was so happy The King's Speech won! I've been dying to see it, and my suite mate told me it was amazing. And I almost though it'd lose out to Inception or The Social Network! Lovely pictures as always!

  35. Per usual, I loved watching the Oscars, but I thought the hosting was a little...weird. Anne especially was just not what I expected. In any case, I'm with you -- I could definitely use a bit of tea and some Laduree macarons this morning!
