Put On A Happy Face!

Good morning, lovelies! What day is it? Can you please tell me? Because I seem to be in a bit of a time warp. J has been away since Tuesday and normally that means a lot free time to catch up on things but this time I've been so insanely crazy that I can't seem to get my barrings. Normally the house would be immaculate and I'd have accomplished a major project or two but no, not this time. I'm knee deep in work, extremely daunted by the fact that I have to get ready for my flight out of town tomorrow and add to that an unbelievably slow internet connection, and I'm about to blow my stack! Hopefully this is able to post but I'm honestly not feeling very confident.

I think my only option is sit down and put on a happy face this morning. Sometimes taking a little extra time to make yourself look pretty really can make a difference. Maybe I'll try a new hairstyle, my hair has looked horrible the past few days with the humidity, I probably should just pull it up. And how bout a new eye look, wing the liner a bit, and a little extra blush? Oh and I definitely need to switch off on the fragrance. I have a few new babies that need to be put to the test. That could definitely do the trick. Well, off I go. Wish me luck!

Hope to be on by today to say hello! Missing you all! xoxo

That hairstyle looks amazing and you just reminded me that I am way overdue to get a new perfume. I see all these photos pf people owning close to 10 perfumes at a time and I am squeezing off every single last drop from my old perfume right now. A trip to Sephora or Saks is in order for me :)

Oh... humidity and hair... bad mix. It's amazing what a fragrance can do to lift the spirit. I love a winged eye... do you use Stila smudge pots? The best for a cat eye! Hope your day goes better today. xo

Working from home means I can get away with no make up often but it makes me feel crappy! Feeling you look good makes such a difference to your mood.

You know, when I feel like this, it's amazing what a self manicure/pedicure can do to lift your spirits. Take deep breaths and just slooow down.

that is great. I always believed that not only feeling pretty makes you pretty, but if you take sometime to yourself, can move mountains. I used to take an afternoon off in college when I was too overwhelmed. I would buy a Vogue, have my nails done, buy a new dress, maybe cut my hair, and done. I was new again.

i agree! on my roughest work days at my old job, i would do some extra dressing up to get my mood more into the game.

the weekend is almost here, friend!!

I hope your day goes better! Man, leaving town when you're man is gone is rough. But you are so right... add a little sparkle to the face and it does make a difference.

Beautiful pictures. I wish I could get my hair to look like the girls in the first picture.

I understand what you mean about work being totally crazy. I've been constantly stressed out the last few weeks.

Completely agree and the same thing goes for feeling sick. If I put on a cute outfit, do my hair, and put on makeup I usually feel at least somewhat better! Enjoy your trip and hopefully you'll get some time to relax!

You certainly are looking good to me! I know how you feel when you're overwhelmed. Deep breathes!!!

I do always feel better when I look better -- today is not one of those days! :)
