Winter Blues

nullnullnullnull

Good morning, sweets! How was the first day back to reality for many of you? And for those of you lucky enough to be enjoying a few more days off, good for you! Enjoy!

Mine dose of reality was fine. I actually enjoyed being back at my recently purged office. I spent a few days last week tossing out everything in sight and it's helping the new "lighter" me feel refreshed and revived and ready to take on anything that comes my way.

One thing that I was surprised to hear while I was out and about yesterday was people talking about the winter blues. Seems kinda early in the season for that, doesn't it? I mean the holidays have only just passed. I thought that the 3rd Monday in January is supposed to be the "bluest" day of the year for us in the northern hemisphere....

Luckily I can say that I'm not of that mindset these days. I'm feeling light and bright and happy. And besides, who says that blue has to be a bad thing, right? :)

Hope you're all feeling cheery these days!

xoxo

What a gorgeous set of images, very attractive blue! You are right there's no need to see things in a winter blues way, not any day if you ask me...

No winter blues for me, unless I am wearing them ;-) I adore blue, so it's never a sad colour for me! It makes me happy actually! And no saddness just now, I know it's rainy here and makes me want to sleep, but I have been just fine..watching movies, clearing stuff away, dressing up..I think if you make yourself feel better by doing nice things, you can occupy your mind away from the weather outside!! Hope you have a great day dollface!! xx

Blue is a lovely color! I had the Monday blues as the new year started with pouring rain and kinda stormy. Winter can be fun, because of its cozy feeling, but the rain has got to stop over here, haha! Enjoy Wednesday xoxo

your light and bright blues are lovely, exactly my kind of blues ;-)

PS. I agree with your 'silly people' comment on my blog. That dress was beautiful on Kruger!

I agree, I've got a while until the winter blues kick in. I'd say usually in May when its supposed to be spring and I'm still freezing my booty off!

First of all I want to wish you a Happy New Year! All the best for 2012, Sweetie!

Since I just came back from a magical trip to Paris I couldn't be further from the winter blues than right now!

Agreed! I'm feeling light and bright in 2012, but it is chilly in Chicago! I wouldn't mind planning a warm weathered vacation. Happy 2012, Dawn! xo

I'm still riding that holiday high so no blues for me. Can you believe how frigid it's gotten in our fair city? Stay warm dear!

I haven't felt the blues either. Which is very very good. The mild winter also helps. :)

First really cold day was yesterday, so like you, not feeling the winter blues yet. One good snow storm and a few weeks of gray skies will certainly do the trick I'm sure. Happy New Year! xo

I totally agree! I mean, who says there are these preset days? But I've never had the blues so maybe that's why. Lovely post- so happy to see you're enjoying your winter.

Thank god I read this! Since New Years, I've felt a little down (which is very unlike me) and couldn't understand why! Of course its the blues!

I've been having a major clear out too! Did you find stuff you forgot you had while you had yours!? I know I did!

Happy New Year Dawn!

Glad the blues haven't set in for you yet! Hope that keeps up! Reality isn't too bad and I am feeling motivated on my goals - so that is helping to fight the blues!
Much love,

Now that you mention it....I haven't really hit a blue period yet. Probably helps that we don't have the 20+ inches of snow on the ground like we had by last December. Wasn't last winter crazy? Well...I guess there's still time.

Glad you're enjoying your new, de-cluttered space. I am purging this week and I love it!

No Winter blues for me either Sweets. Still on holiday, and glorious weather here in Spain (even had lunch al-fresco). So I have no reason to be blue :-)

I can definitely see how winter can get to people...but hey, I get the summer blues when it gets too hot to do anything, so I guess it's a trade off! (c: Glad to hear that things are still light and bright in your neck of the woods...nothing like a good purge, right? (c;

i'm feeling cheery, too! i think it has to do with the awesome summer weather recently ;)

Oh Natalia, I truly think she is one of the most beautiful women in the world.

On another note, here in New Zealand we have the summer blues - the wettest summer on record. Now that's depressing.
