Snapshots from NOLA

nullnullnullnull

Good morning, loves! And happy Thursday to you! Can't believe it's Thursday already. I'm just getting started on my week.

Wanted to share some photos from our New Orleans trip. As you can see from the photos, we had a ton of fun which included a lot of eating and a fair share of drinking. I couldn't help myself because everything was so incredibly tasty.

We just happened to be there during St. Patrick's Day which is the 3rd largest holiday in NOLA after Mardi Gras and Halloween. And the first day down there we ended up stumbling upon the St. Patrick's Day parade which was like a mini Mardi Gras filled with fabulous floats and lots of bead throwing. Too much fun I tell you. And now I'm happy that I don't have to go back for actual Mardi Gras which honestly would probably be a little too crazy for my taste :)

Some of the highlights of the trip, besides the parade, were
  • Lunch at Lilette. Every single bite was incredible. Oh and I forgot to mention that we were there with friends and we're all great sharers so I really got to taste everything ordered.

  • Dinner at Couchon. Again each and every bite was divine.

  • Jazz Brunch at Commander's Palace on Sunday, Js actual bday, which included balloons on each and every table, J being seranaded with Happy Birthday tableside by the jazz band. {I couldn't have planned that more perfectly. Although to tell you the truth, I didn't really have anything to do with it. It was just destiny.}

  • Cocktails at The Carousel Bar at Hotel Monteleone. Yummy drinks and the bar has a carousel top and revolves around the room.

  • Dinner at August and having Samuel L. Jackson sit at the table next to us. Can you find his photo above? :)

  • Bourbon Street at night. Seeing a fabulous 80s rock cover band and singing at the top of our lungs and then heading on over to a club to dance the rest of the night away.

All in all it was an incredible trip that I was sad to see come to an end. But at least I have some fabulous memories to keep forever.

Have any of you ever been to New Orleans? If so, I'd love to share some stories.

Hope you're all having a fabulous week and hope to catch up real soon!

xoxo

Sounds and looks absolutely amazing. Funny you should mention Mardi Gras - My dad mentioned he happened to be there on that holiday when he was on a business trip...and let's just say he was scarred for life! haha! I definitely think it would be too crazy for me too :) But all of these tasty cocktails and yummy food look beyond fantastic! Hope you are settling back in ok!
