Good morning, sweets! Hope the week is treating you all splendidly.
Lately I've been dreaming of summer in the suburbs. The town where I take the ferry on over to my summer house is oh so quaint, it seems like every other house has a swing hanging from a tree on the front yard, and it brings me back to my carefree childhood days in the suburbs of NYC.
Long days outside in the beautiful fresh air, loving every single second of it. I remember it all so fondly and it would be so nice to get to recreate those feelings these days. Yes, I do have the beach but there's something about the grass and the greenery that gets me.
Dreaming of knocking on the door of one of those quaint houses and inviting myself over for a little al fresco brunch followed by a quick turn on a swing. I wouldn't be much of a bother and I'd even prepare the brunch. Think the homeowners would mind? ;)
Enjoy the day, loves! Hope it's a carefree one for you all!
xoxo

ReplyDeleteYou are welcome to my suburban home anytime, Dawn. I'll even hang a swing for you. :) Lovely images, just perfect. xo
ReplyDeleteThe breakfast and the swing look great. I live in the city as well, and there are some days where I think I could possibly live in the suburbs, but that doesn't last too long. I reckon I'd prefer to drop in on someone else's home instead!
ReplyDeletewhat amazing selection pic!
ReplyDeleteNew post on my fashion blog: I'm waiting for your comment!

ReplyDeleteAs I just moved from a big city to a smaller city, I feel like I'm in the suburbs right now and I just love the community that I sense here!
ReplyDeleteThat tree swing is BEYOND heavenly- love!!
ReplyDeleteLove these photos, so inspiring! It is fantastic to live in a house in a pittoresque village, but it is also amazing to live in an apartment in a vibrant city during winter...tough question actually:) love Caroline
ReplyDeletehaha how cute! i don't think the homeowners would mind ;) Happy tuesday!!! x0x0
ReplyDeleteI'm a city girl at heart but sometimes I think it would be nice to spend some time in an idyllic suburban town where the pace is slow and carefree. And yes a turn on a swing would be great too! Happy carefree Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteI've lived in the burbs my whole life and never thought of it like this. Makes me grateful for what I have- and you can visit anytime!
ReplyDeleteThere's a house close to our subdivision with a huge yard perfect for a swing from a tree - I hope they do it someday :)
ReplyDeleteI love swings in the front yard! Especially with the flowering vines. Lovely
ReplyDeleteThey wouldn't mind! ;) I would join you for sure Dawn!
ReplyDeleteHa that would be great - I totally think you should go swing on one of the swings! That is one thing I love about Minneapolis - I get the city life, but also go home to a house in the city limits that still has a yard, which is so fun to hang out in the summer sun.
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
B
Aah, I bet they'd love to invite you in for a cuppa :) Having a little space outside is so nice in summer! xoxo

ReplyDeleteNot long now for you is it? Enjoy!

I love that swing, I would like one :)) xx
ReplyDeleteTee hee sounds like fun! I'd like to find one with a white picket fence!
ReplyDeleteThat's the way my grandma used to make our eggs in the morning. I take a champagne glass and press it on the bread to make the perfect sized hole.
ReplyDeleteOf course this has me smiling!!! Before we had to chop down our big tree out front, it did have a similar tree swing, sans the flowers. Anytime you want to visit the suburbs....just let me know! :)
