Spring Awakening

Good Monday morning, lovelies! And Happy Spring! So happy that the long winter is finally behind us. Brighter, longer days are hopefully here to stay. We've had some gorgeous weather here in NYC the past few days. Everyone's been out and about and all the restaurants and cafes have opened up outdoor dining. It seems as if Spring fever is in full force!

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Js bday. Friday night dinner with friends and family at Beaumarchais followed by drinks at the Soho Grand. Then Saturday I surprised J with a little staycation at The Standard Hotel. We had such an amazing time. The hotel is absolutely fabulous! Floor to ceiling windows with can't beat views of the city, great restaurants and the best is the Top of the Standard, formerly the Boom Boom Room, an amazing bar at the top of the hotel with to die for views and amazing cocktails. It was so cool to stay at a hotel in our own city. I really felt like I was on vacation when in reality I was just a short cab drive away. All in all it was a fantastic time.

Let The Festivities Begin!

Happy Friday, lovelies! Who's excited for the end of the work week? Me, that's for sure!!! Today is J's birthday and I have a weekend chock full of fun plans. It's still a secret so I can't say exactly what the happenings are but I'm excited and I hope J will love it all.

Sorry again for not having time to stop by. Busy, busy week! I should be back to normal speed by Monday hopefully :)

Happy St. Patty's Day, lovelies! Most people I know have at least a little tiny bit of Irish in them somewhere and even if they don't, they become Irish for the day to celebrate anyway. I mean it's not a bad day to celebrate now, is it?

And although I don't really look it, I have a bit Irish in me myself. My mother's father is part Irish. Alright so he's also German and Dutch but who's counting, right? :)

I'd love to know, are any of you Irish? And if not, do you celebrate the day anyway?

Oh and I apologize for not getting around to your blogs yesterday. St. Patty's Day also for me means the day before J's bday. So every single year, no matter how hard I try not to, I'm making the mad dash a few days before to try to get everything ready. Still not quite done yet so I'll have to fight off the drunken crowds {NYC becomes quite the place today} in order to finish up. Wish me luck! :) And I hope to be around soon to catch up. xoxo

Next To Nude

Speaking of lightening up, I'm loving these barely there shades of nude and blush. I'm looking to make the switch not only in my wardrobe and accessories but in my home as well.

Right now my living room is primarily filled with dark woods and wines but I'm really considering making a major switch, something more along the lines of the living room above. Isn't it just dreamy? I'm a bit concerned with upkeep and such but there has to be a way to make it work, right?

Lighten Up!

Happy Tuesday, loves! Spring is just around the corner and I find myself wanting to lighten up as quickly as possible. I've already started turning to my lighter color and fabric tops and also painted by nails a pale minty green. Next stop is getting some flowers in the house. I've been wanting to do this for a while but unfortunately J has pretty bad Spring allergies so I've put it off for now. Hoping the time will come soon. For now I guess I'll just have to setttle for some pretty pictures.

Sensing Spring & A Winner!

Good Monday morning, lovelies! How was your weekend? We had an almost springlike weekend here in NYC. It was absolutely wonderful and had me dreaming of the months of gorgeous weather ahead. I hope that I'm not jinxing myself by saying this, but it seems as if the long dreadful winter is truly behind us. Fingers crossed!

Have an exciting week on tap. Dinner with an old friend tonight and then Friday is Js bday so there's the exciting bday weekend to look forward to. I have a lot of fun surprises in store but I'm not going to reveal them just yet since J reads the blog :)

Finally Friday!

Happy Friday, sweets! Hope you all had a fabulous week. As usual, I'm so happy that the weekend is finally here. Not much on tap this weekend besides relaxing & shopping. Sounds blissful to me and I can certainly use it after this week.

The Art of Indulging

Happy Thursday, lovelies! Wow, it's been quite the hectic week! I'm so looking forward to the weekend and I'm thinking I might let myself indulge a bit.

Spring's just around the corner and I've been dying to get some fresh flowers in the house. Also thinking of indulging in a bit of shopping. I work in the beauty industry but it still excites me everytime I walk into a beauty boutique. I just love to change it up this time of year so I'm shopping around for a new scent. And I'm so ready to kick off these boots for good and slip into a new killer pair of heels. Saks here I come! I'm worth it, right? :)
