April Showers

We all know the saying, right? We've been getting a lot of rain and fog lately so lets hope the saying is true and flowers are soon to come.

In the meantime I'm planning a vacation to California in the next few weeks and I couldn't be happier. Palm Springs & Santa Barbara, here I come! :)

The Great Outdoors

Good morning, lovelies! The weather was just so gorgeous yesterday that it got me dreaming of all of the outdoor fun that will soon be in store. Picnics, walks in the park, al fresco dining. I can't wait to soak it all in. Here's hoping that spring decides to stick around this time :)

Sunny Start!

Good Monday morning, lovelies! How was your weekend? Mine was fabulous. J got back home Friday night after a week away so I was as happy as could be. I didn't think that my heart could grow any fonder but believe me, time apart really makes it explode :)

Saturday was nice and sunny and today it's supposed to be warm, in the high 70s!, so I'm hoping to spread a little of the warmth and sunshine your way today with my new favorite color combo, yellow & orange. It's such a pretty harmony that's easy on the eyes. And nothing screams sunny delight more, right?

Indulgent Weekend

Happy Friday, lovelies! So happy that the weekend is almost here. It's so close, I can taste it! Planning on having a really indulgent time this weekend. J will be home tonight after spending the entire week away so I'm looking forward to a little quality time doing whatever our hearts desire. And trust me, my heart desires a lot! :)

Blossoming Beauty

Good morning, lovelies! Hope you're having a lovely week. J has in DC all week so I've been alone for a few days. Keeping myself busy and doing a few little projects that I've put off for a while. It feels good to get some things accomplished.

One of the benefits of having my other in DC means that I've been lucky enough to get bombarded with text photos of the gorgeous cherry blossoms in bloom down there. Unfortunately I've yet to see anything bloom here yet, never mind anything as gorgeous as cherry blossoms, but I'll take what I can get. Photos will just have to do.

Better yet, maybe I should go and pick up Jo Malone's limited edition fragrance for spring 2011, Sakura Cherry Blossom. The interpretation of cherry blossom is brought to life with layers of rose and mimosa accented with the freshness of bergamot and mandarin. The result is a powdery fragrance, contrasted by a base of musk and wood. Sounds lovely, doesn't it? I think I'll know where I'll be heading on my lunch hour today :)

Happy mid-week, sweets! How is the week shaping up for you all? It's been a bit gloomy here and it looks like today will be one of the only sunny days of the week. Happy Tuesday, lovelies! Oh how I love this time of year. The days are getting longer and the light gently warms and softens everything in sight making it all look so delicious. We haven't had many days like this quite yet. Only glimpses here and there but just enough to tease me and let me know that brighter days are soon to come.

Sweet Start

Good Monday morning! How was your weekend, lovelies? Mine was wonderful. I had a fabulous, albeit very short trip to Philadelphia. Didn't get to see or do that much outside of the hotel but that was fabulous in itself.

We did walk around Rittenhouse Square and went to drinks at a lovely little French place called Rouge and then to dinner after. Then Sunday was spent at the hockey game which was amazing. We had 3rd row seats and our team won! Go Rangers! :)

Now here we are ready to start the week. Oh why are the weekends so short? I would do so much better with a 4 day work week, wouldn't you? Think I need a little sweetness to get me motivated.

Weekend Getaway

Happy Friday, lovelies! And happy first day of April! I'm so happy that the weekend has finally arrived. J & I are off on a little weekend getaway to Philadelphia. It's been years since I've been so I'm really excited to check it out again. It'll be nice to stroll the city and check out some new shops & restaurants. And we'll also be catching a hockey game on Sunday.

I have to be honest though, I'm most excited about the hotel. Gorgeous decor, luxury linens, breakfast in bed and nightcaps. Really, can anything beat that? All in all it makes for the perfect weekend escape.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Oh and if anyone has any suggestions of places to eat or any shops I should check out while in Philly I'd so appreciate it!
