Take It Easy

Good morning, lovelies! How is the week treating you? I'm having a wonderful one and good news, it's already Wednesday!

During the summer all I want is to be outdoors enjoying life to the fullest. It's the time of year that I like to slow down, kick back and relax. Lazy summer days are where it's at for me. Everything is so lush and green and I love nothing more than getting to lay back and feel the warm sun on my skin. It really makes me feel so incredibly alive and so content at the same time.

Slow Start

Good morning, lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We spent our weekend at the beach and were treated to 2 gorgeous days of perfect weather. The weather was so amazing yesterday that I had a hard time motivating myself to take the ferry home. We didn't get home until midnight which explains the late post this morning. I'm kind of off to a very slow start so please forgive me :)

Back to the Beach House

Happy Friday, lovelies! I'm off to the beach again for the weekend. Looking forward to some sun, surf, yummy cocktails and my first beach bbq of the season. Can't believe it's July and I haven't been to one yet. Luckily the weather looks like it's going to cooperate so it should turn out to be a great one. Yippee! :)

Summer In The City

Happy Wednesday, lovelies! Hope you're all having a wonderful week. The weather is picture perfect here and it's already the middle of my 3 day work week so you can say that I'm having a fabulous week.

I know in the past I've talked about the drawbacks to being in the city in the summer. The heat, humidity and occasional smells can really make you want to run for the hills. But this past weekend I spent the majority of my time in the city and it made me realize and remember just how amazing it can be this time of year.

Spectacular rooftop views, walks in the parks and along the rivers, the backyard restaurant gardens, it's all a feast for the senses. Also, the city basically empties out on weekends, especially holiday ones, so it's as if you have the city to yourself. It's a real treat.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really looking forward to heading back to the beach house this weekend but it was nice to rediscover the beauty of the city in summertime.

An Intimate Affair

Good morning, lovelies! How was your weekend? Did you do a lot of celebrating? I enjoyed mine to the fullest and now am looking forward to a 3 day work week.

With all of the talk of marriage and anniversaries lately I've been doing a lot of thinking back to my commitment ceremony that took place 15 years ago in J's parents backyard. It was a beautiful gathering of our nearest and dearest family and friends. A stark contrast to our large NYC wedding that we had 2 years ago. Both were so amazing and I wouldn't change a thing about either one of them but there was something so intimate and real about our first affair. I'll cherish it forever.

The Long Weekend

Happy Friday, lovelies and welcome to the weekend! It's a long one here in the states with Independence Day being on Monday. Still haven't decided on exact plans but we're considering a picnic in the park and lots of relaxation and outdoor time.
