Garden of Dreams

Good morning, lovelies! Hope your week is off to a wonderful start. It's been raining here for a few days now and I cannot wait for the sun to come back out so I can enjoy the great outdoors.

I've been so enchanted with gardens lately. Having some time away from the beach has really given me the opportunity to explore the other lovely aspects of the season. Unfortunately I do not have a garden so I'm left to admire those of others. I hope one day to have one of my own.

Monday Morning

Good Monday morning, loves! And welcome to a brand new week! How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?

Our weekend was nice. We left the city on Saturday morning and spent some QT with our 9 year old niece. It was so good to see her and have some good girl bonding time. Her mother, who was our best friend, passed away two years ago and we always end up doing fun girlie stuff with her. She's totally that girl. Just like her Mom. Shopping, nails, and things like that. It's always really emotional to see her but so rewarding at the same time.

Then Sunday we had some more family time with both of our families. Saw Js mother earlier in the day and then had a fabulous dinner with my family for my mother's birthday.

All in all it was a fun weekend. No beach but I saw that life can indeed be fun without it :)

Easy Weekend

Happy Friday, lovelies! I'm so happy that the weekend has finally arrived. It's been a loooong week and I've seriously been ready for the weekend since Monday. Well now it's here and what to do?

We don't have the beach house this weekend so I've been dreaming up some alternatives. We have a few plans here and there and they all involve being out on Long Island so I'll get to enjoy being outside a lot. Basically all I'm hoping for is some relaxation and time outdoors with friends and loved ones.

Backyard Brunch

Happy Thursday, lovelies! So if you couldn't tell by now, I'm kinda on a kick. Actually it's not one kick, it's a few of them....

I'm loving big rimmed hats, I'm craving yummy food, and I'm just swooning over the idea of eating said food outdoors which is exactly what I plan to do this weekend.

In addition to this Garden Party I hope to have I think I'd like to start the weekend off with a little brunch al fresco. Sounds splendid to me!

Ah the weekend's almost here...I can just about taste it! :)

Garden Party

Good morning, lovelies! Hope the week is treating you well. I know it's only Wednesday but I'm already looking forward to the weekend dreaming of what to do. With no beach house on the agenda I'm going to have to get creative to come up with something that will still scream summer.

Thinking a lovely garden party could do the trick. Since I don't have a garden I think I'm going to have to start making some calls to my lovely friends & family. Wish me luck :)

Tranquil Tuesday

Good morning, lovelies! Hope your week is off to a great start. I started my week off on the wrong foot. Extremely tired after a weekend of fun and excitement and then I had to jump right back into a hectic work week. Note to self, don't plan to be out late on a Sunday night, even if it's for a great reason... :)

What I would do to just lounge around today. Maybe even take to the spa for a little retreat. Sounds heavenly to me. Care to join me?

Monday Morning

Good morning, lovelies! Welcome to a brand new week! How was your weekend? Mine was fabulous. Another long weekend at the beach followed by a great concert last night. Couldn't have asked for a better summer weekend.

Now it's back to the work week and a few long weeks without the beach house. We don't go back again until August 26th so I think these next few weeks may drag. Might as well start it on the right foot. A leisurely morning followed by a cup a coffee should do the trick :)

Wonderful Weekend

Soaking Up The Summer

Ravishing Riviera

Good morning, lovelies! Hope you're all having a wonderful start to the week. Mine's wonderful and as dreamy as ever.

Ever since the lovely Christel contacted me a few weeks ago about filling in with a guest post while she was vacationing on the Côte d'Azur, my mind has been overtaken by visions of the Riviera. I've been to the Italian Riviera before, to a lovely little town called Camogli years ago, but I've always dreamed of making my way on over to the French Riviera. Perhaps that will be an alternative to my other possible holiday destination, Majorca.

Either way, I don't think we can go wrong. All I know is that, we have to make a decision and start planning soon!

Pretty Up!

Good Monday morning, lovelies! How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun and exciting? Mine was wonderful, as beach weekends always are. My family came out and we celebrated birthdays and had a fabulous time.

And now the time has come to leave the beach bum look behind and attempt to look a little presentable. During the weekends at the beach I am so incredibly casual, the total opposite of the usual me. I never wear makeup, dress in my beach attire and since I get beach hair, I don't even attempt to blow it straight and {ssshhh} I don't even wash my hair every day. Something that is completely unheard of in my everyday life.

I do love the relaxed, effortlessness of my weekends but being a girlie girl at heart I admit that I am pretty excited to primp up today.
