Romantic Start

Good morning, sweets! Hope you all had a lovely and loving weekend. I'm feeling all loved up after a wonderful weekend spent with loved ones.

Starting the week off in a romantic state of mind. Afterall, tomorrow is Valentine's Day and if you can't tell by now, I'm a romantic at heart. :)

Looking forward to celebrating all kinds of love the next few days, be it romantic, family, friends, and even pets. Love is really all around us, isn't it?

Hello, Weekend!

Good morning, loves! And happy Friday to you all!

If you read my post yesterday, you know that I've been anxiously awaiting the weekend. And we happen to have a fairly busy one on tap.

Going to Long Island tomorrow to take my car in for an inspection and to celebrate my Aunt's birthday. And tonight and Sunday we'll be making some more progress on our Oscar challenge. Tonight we're going to see War Horse and Sunday The Descendants. By the end of the weekend, we'll only have 2 more best picture nominees to go. We're getting there!

In the meantime, I'm hoping to squeeze in a little relaxation and I'd like to get some fresh flowers in the apartment to liven things up a bit. It's much needed this time of year :)

Paris, Petals & Peace

Good morning, sweets! Well here we are. A day before Friday. At last! I'm so wishing this week away.

I think it's this time of year but I'm really longing for a little break. I keep telling J that I need a vacation. Paris would do. Or an extra day off or something. Or even a weekend that I can stay at home for two days in row. I just need some peace. I'm yearning for something and even though the winter hasn't been bad, I'm just wishing it away. My eyes are desperate for prettiness and I can't wait for the flowers to start blooming again.

Luckily there's Valentine's Day next week to look forward to. And also a three day weekend the following weekend that I've refused make plans during. I secretly have been holding it aside for an impromptu vacation somewhere {hint, hint J ;)} I'm doubting that will happen but at least the three days will still be all ours.

Am I alone here? Or are you all yearning for something these?

Sweet Nothings

Good morning, loves! How is the week treating you so far?

Today marks 1 week before Valentine's Day and I'm already starting to get excited for the day. Every year there's a discussion as to what we want to do for Valentine's Day. Some years we make a big deal of it, reservations, gifts, etc. But other years we keep it very low key. Dinner at home, a nice bottle of wine and something sweet to eat.

This year we've decided to go the latter route. Very low key. Maybe flowers, some pretty lingerie and something sweet to end the night with.

I know not all of you celebrate Valentine's Day but for those of you who do, what do you have planned?

Monday Morning

Good morning, loves! And happy Monday to you all! How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?

My weekend didn't turn out quite as I had planned. Saturday I ended up going to visit my mother in law for her birthday. Turns out the only present she wanted was for us to come help her clean her home so that's what we ended up doing for 5+ hours. It was a lot of work, still feeling sore, in fact, but very rewarding. The place looks great and she's so happy. And Sunday was a great day filled with lots of sport watching. A hockey game in the afternoon followed by the Super Bowl at night. All in all it was a good weekend. I just didn't get to delve into any of my creative projects that I've been meaning to do. Ah, there's always next weekend :)

But for now, it's time to start a brand new week. Planning on starting the day with a nice relaxing bath today to ease my sore muscles.

Welcoming the Weekend!

Happy Friday, lovelies! And welcome to the weekend!

I'm so looking forward to a few lazy days to do whatever my heart desires. Sleeping in, catching up on books, maybe I'll even get to do some creative projects I've been hoping to do since the new year. I would love to start illustrating again and I also need to redesign my living room and bedroom which I've been meaning to do forever but I never have the time.

Spring Tease

Happy Thursday, loves! Hope you're having a splendid week.

We're currently be spoiled here in NY with a stretch of days with spring like temperatures. I didn't even need to wear a coat yesterday! {But I did...Just didn't close it :)}.

All of this warm weather is teasing me with thoughts of spring. My ideal day would be a stroll in Central Park followed by a stop in Ladurée. And of course I'd stop by my favorite flower market for some fresh blooms.

Hello, Febraury!

Good morning, loves! And happy first day of February to you!

I'm so happy to bid January adieu and to welcome February in with open arms. I love that we're having a pretty mild winter with not much snow {knock on wood!} and I'm hoping that continues through the rest of the season.

Looking forward to a few more cozy days, Valentine's Day, and an extra day off in a few weeks for President's Day when I can hopefully plan a little getaway.
