Peonies and Chanel

Good morning, sweets! Hope you're having a fabulous start to the week. I sure know I am!

J started my week of on the right foot by having a gorgeous bouquet of peonies delivered to my office to kick off bday week. They're so gorgeous, they just lit up the entire room. It was a total surprise too since my actual birthday isn't until Friday.  But this way I get to enjoy them the whole week long before heading on out to the beach and vacation.

And even more exciting is that tonight we're going shopping at Chanel, yup I said Chanel for an early birthday gift! I can't believe I'm finally getting my Chanel bag after all of these years. Lucky me! I guess there are pluses to turning the big 4-0 after all. And if this is how the 40s are starting, I'm really not minding them in the slightest.  Bring on the new decade! :)

Monday Morning

Good morning, loves!  And welcome to a brand new week!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. 

Mine was amazing.  Time at the beach house can't be beat.  I mentioned the routine last week and we pretty much stayed true to that.  Feeling nice a rested and ready to start a brand new week.  And almost a brand new decade.  It's birthday week and I'll be turning the big 4-0 on Friday.  Yikes! Well my 30s were better than my 20s and they say {whoever they are...} that your 40s are better than your 30s so I'm going into it with that in mind. :)

Let's Go To The Beach, Beach...

Hi loves!  Today is my Friday so you know what that means, right?  Yup I'm heading on out to the beach early.

Feeling a lot better the past two days so I'm hopeful that I'll have a nice relaxing weekend in the sun.  Our days at the beach house are so predictable. Wake up late, have some yummy breakfast.  A quick step outside to the beach for a few hours.  Delicious refreshers later in the day followed by a BBQ and then a little stroll into town to see the sunset over the bay.  But trust me, it never gets boring.  I know I'm incredibly fortunate that I get to experience this as often as I do.

Keeping Calm

Good morning, loves!  And happy mid week to you all.  Can't believe we're already half way through the work week.

It's been good getting back into the swing of things but I'm trying to also take things a bit more slowly than usual as not to overdo it.  Work has been busy with lots of meetings and I've had some things to do in the evenings so I've been trying to steal a bit of quite time whenever I have the chance.

Better To Be Back???

Happy Tuesday, loves!  How are you all this morning?  Hope very well.

I never thought I'd say this but I was actually quite happy to be back at work yesterday.  Guess that tells you how sick I was feeling on my time off, huh?  Even though I'm not yet 100% there is something about the world of beauty that made everything seem a bit better.  That and being back to you beauties.  Things are on the upswing. :)

Back To Pretty

Hi loves! Happy Monday! It's so good to be back after my break.

Thank you all so much for the kind words over the past week. It really touched me to hear from all of you.  I rested up and am starting to feel better. In addition to my illness I've been having a tough time with the medicine I have to take. All in all I was quite the mess but I am slowly getting better with each day.

It was hard to be away...actually this was the longest break I've ever taken in 3 1/2 years of writing this blog. I missed you all but I'm back now. So fill me in. What did I miss? Did you all have a good week/weekend? Sure hope you all did :)

I'll be around soon to say hi. But in the meantime, I wish you the most beautiful of Mondays!

Bit Of A Break

Happy Monday, loves!  Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I'm taking an unexpected blog break until July 9th.  I've been having some health problems lately and need the time to just rest and recuperate.  Nothing too serious.  Hopefully I'll be back to normal soon.  For now I'll just be staying at the beach taking it easy.  Hopefully I'll get through some books and maybe even pamper myself a bit.

Beach Baby

Happy Friday, lovelies! How are you all doing this morning?

It's the weekend so that means I'm heading back to the beach.  And it couldn't come at a better time because we're having another heatwave here in NY.  But first things first and I'll be making a stop at my sisters for a Father's Day BB. We had to postpone celebrations a few weeks because my Dad was busy on the actual day.

Feel Like A Fiesta

Hi loves!  Happy Thursday to you!

I don't know if it's just me but I've been craving and indulging in Mexican food a lot this summer.  And I mean a lot.  At least once a week {often twice a week} when I'm in the city and that's only 3 or 4 days a week.  That's a far cry from my usual once every 6 weeks or so routine.

 Not sure what it is.  Maybe it's the al fresco aspect of it.  I'm usually sitting outdoors or at least by an open window.  Or maybe it's just the margaritas and other delicious beverages calling my name.  Whatever it is, I'm liking it.  Not sure my waist is liking it but I hardly care these days :)

Am I alone here or do I have some fellow Mexican lovers with me?

Lady of Leisure

Hi loves! And happy mid-week to you all!

More daydreaming today coming your way. I've finally gotten around to reading some books this summer at the beach house and I'm having a hard time putting the books down once the work week starts. Unfortunately there's little or no time to read during the week. Would love to be able to find some time to indulge in some reading over the next few days. Ah to be a lady of leisure.  One can dream, right? :)

Perfect Day For A Picnic

Good morning, loves!  Hope the week is off to a great start!

I'm back to my weekly work routine and wouldn't you know it, after one day at work I'm already ready to kick off my shoes and head on over to the park for a picnic.  I guess it's not that weird because I've yet to have one this season so I'm really itching for one.  And today's weather would be perfect for it.

Morning Beauties!

Happy Monday, lovelies!  And welcome to a brand new week!  Hope you all had an incredible weekend.

Back to a more polished existance for a few days.  It's so funny, being at the beach a few days a weeky is amazing and all but there is something very nice about coming back to normal life and the pretty things.  Not saying the beach isn't pretty.  But you know, it's a more casual beachy approach to life.

Planning on blowing my hair out, putting on a pretty dress and picking up some flowers on the way to work today.
