Dreaming of Paris

Good morning, loves! Hope you're all having a great start to the week.

This week my mind is wandering to where else?  Paris, of course.  But I have a very good reason this time.  My parents have been there since Saturday and they're sending me "wish you were here" emails each and every day in addition to one off photos photos tempting me to book a flight at any given second. 

And I'm positive this dreamy feeling will not go away any time soon because after a week in Paris they're heading to some gorgeous villa in Provence for another week and then to Nice for a few days.  Not a bad way to spend September, huh? I guess visions of all things French will be filling my days for the next few weeks.  Not that I'm complaining :)

Rise & Shine

Good morning, loves! And happy Monday. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I ended up not going to the beach after all this weekend. The weather was bad on Saturday so I stayed in the city and caught up on life a bit. And then yesterday we went out to Long Island and visited Js mom for the day. Overall it was a nice weekend. Oh and I did stop by a beach for like 2 minutes On Sunday to take a quick peak at the sea. :)

So here we are at Monday morning already. Are you all ready to start the week? Not sure that I am but since there's no choice I'm gonna go ahead and roll with it :)

Holding Onto Summer

Happy Friday, lovelies! Who else is excited it's the weekend? For a short week, this week seemed extremely long for some reason. Probably has something to do with how my Tuesday started...

In any case I'm thrilled that Friday has finally rolled around. You'd think that I'd be done with the beach house since it's after Labor Day but nope, that's not the case. We have the house until the end of the month so I'm planning on spending as much time out there as possible in an attempt to squeeze every last bit out of summer. It's not cool enough for boots or hot cider so I might as well, right? :)

I apologize for not being around much this week.  It was a real hectic one but I hope to be back to normal next week.
So what are you all up to this weekend?  Any fun plans?  Hope you all have a wonderful one whatever you choose to do.

Our Special Day

Good morning, loves!  Hope you're all having a great week. 

Thanks so much for the kind words yesterday.  I'm feeling a lot better today.  And luckily just in time  because today is our anniversary.  26 years of being a couple and 3 years as a married one.

I'm so incredibly fortunate to have met the love of my life so early in my life. We grew up together and I was lucky enough to marry my best friend.

So today I want to thank my J with all of my heart and soul.  Thank you for being my love, my life & my best friend and for making all of my dreams come true.  I will love you for eternity.

Why Not Wednesday

Good morning, sweets! And happy mid-week to you.

I for one am very happy that it's the middle of the week already. I woke up yesterday to a whole lot of bad. After a very poor nights sleep I awoke with an ear ache, my back out, a headache and by 7am I received news of a death in the family. Not the way one wants to start the week.

So today I'm thinking I'd rather just forget it all.  I'm staying in, taking it easy and resting this body and mind of mine.  And yes, this is all wishful thinking on my part.  Duty calls and off I go :)

Polished Perfection

Good morning, loves! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I'm back from the beach and finally ready to get back to work. Being that it's September now, and fashion week no less, I think that means it's time to kick off the flip flops and dial up the style meter a few notches.  First thing on my list is to finally track down the Chanel bag I've been looking for since my birthday back in July. Wish me luck :)

Summer Send Off

Morning, sweets! And happy Thursday to you all. 

I'm heading on out to the beach this evening for the last unofficial weekend of the summer.  Can't believe the time has finally come.  It's been such a wonderful and seemingly long summer which I'm really grateful for but I have to admit that I'm pretty sad to see it all come to an end. 

So what's a girl to do?  Send it off in grand fashion, of course :)

Mid-Week Reminder

Happy mid-week loves! Have you ever had to be reminded of your own words? I know I certainly have from time to time.

End Of Summer Soiree

It's just hitting me that the unofficial end of summer is just around the corner.  I looked at my calendar for the upcoming week and my head started spinning after realizing that it's jammed packed with "End Of Summer" celebrations.  How did that happen?  Is it really almost all over?  Say it ain't so please.  I think I'll have to indulge in a bit of bubbly to help distract me from reality. :)

Back to Business

I had a nice 3 day weekend at the beach house.  Lots of fun, rest and recovery and now I'm back and ready to get back to business after a rough few weeks.  I've missed being myself and stopping by to see you all so I'm hoping to rectify all of that real soon.

Early Escape

Heading on out to the beach later on today. And honestly I'm feeling quite thankful to have a 3 day weekend because I sure do need it.

Feminine Feeling

Happy mid-week, loves!  Thankfully we're half way through the work week already.  Well truthfully I only have one more day after today so I guess I'm already past the halfway mark.  Guess that means I have even more reason to be thankful  :)

The summer is starting to wind on down, beach trips will be less frequent after labor day, and I'm starting to think of what the late summer & early fall will bring.  As much as I love summer and the beach I have to admit I'm looking forward to a few things. 

One of the things that I'm looking forward to is a more put together appearance.  I'm kind of getting sick of summer dresses and sandals and cannot wait to put on blouses, pencil skirts and pumps.  The more ladylike the better in my book.  I think I have the Mad Men marathon I indulged in this summer to blame.  I watched the first 5 seasons in less than a month and my casual approach to dressing these days just isn't cutting it.

I'm also really looking forward to finally taking on the living room redesign.  As I've mentioned before, truthfully it's probably been years now that I've been saying this, I'm craving a softer, lighter, more glamorous & feminine home and it's just about time to finally satisfy that craving.
