Currently Crushing...Shimmering Nudes

Hi loves!  Hope you're having a fabulous start to the week.

Now that I've almost completely pulled myself off of the beach and am starting to embrace the idea of fall I've developed a major crush on shimmering nudes.  I know burgundy is everywhere this fall and since that happens to be my favorite color I'm a very happy girl indeed.  But there's something that's pulling me towards this gorgeous look.  And a major bonus is that it looks great with the aforementioned color of the season. :)

Back to Business

Good morning, loves! And happy Monday to you all.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

We spent the weekend in the city catching up on life.  Unfortunately my computer is on it's last leg so I haven't been able to get much accomplished in terms of blogging but at least some other parts of my life are in order.  Hoping everything else starts to fall in line soon.  Finger's crossed.

First Fall Weekend

Good morning, sweets! And happy Friday to you! I'm so happy that it's finally Friday.

As I mentioned yesterday it's been a crazy week and I'm really looking forward to catching up on life this weekend. And I'm also really happy that it's the first weekend of fall! Looking forward to so many things this autumn. Sweater weather, apple & pumkin picking, cozy nights, a return to cooking {I especially can't wait to make soups and stews} and a weekend trip to see the foliage.

Wrapped Up

Hi loves! Sorry for my absence yesterday. It's been quite a week.

My mind and time are pretty occupied this week between the change of season, suddenly there's quite the chill in the air and I'm still in beach mode, so dressing has been a bit of a challenge. And also the beauty world is keeping me extremely busy.

End Of Summer Toast

Good morning, loves! Hope your week is off to a wonderful start.

The summer is winding down on over here and I've been doing everything possible to soak up the last few days of it. The past weekend sunning at the beach and then last night we went out for a lovely al fresco dinner to send the summer off in style. It's been such a wonderful summer and I'm sad to see it go but I'll always have the memories to cherish forever.

How are you all celebrating the end of the season?  Or are you already in full on fall mode? And for those of you lucky enough to be entering spring, I plan on living vicariously through you for the next half year or so :)

Beautiful Morning

Good morning, loves! How was your weekend? Is it really Monday already? 

This weekend was wonderful but seemed to fly by.  It was the first non long weekend at the beach house and I'm not used to being there for such a short amount of time. I'm working full day Fridays again and it takes hours to get out to the house so I didn't get there till late Friday evening.  And before I knew it, Sunday rolled around and it was time to turn around again and come back home.  Makes me even more thankful than ever that I have summer hours during the summer months.

In any case it was a lovely time. Beautiful quiet moments by the seaside with my love.  I really can't complain. :)

So here we are at Monday morning already.  Are you all ready to start the week?

Seaside Break

Happy Friday, lovelies! Congrats we all made it and the weekend is finally upon us!
Heading on out to Fire Island tonight for the weekend for a little relaxation by the sea.  I'm really looking forward to it too.  It's so lovely there this time of year.  All of the summer crowds are gone so it's really peaceful and quite but there's still just enough going on in town if your up for a little socializing.  For the most part I think I'll be hanging low and watching the surf.

Continuing The Dream

Hi loves! How's the week treating you?  Sorry that I haven't been around much.  Another hectic week but I'm thinking of you all and hope to stop by soon.

Remember the other day when I said I most likely be dreaming of Paris for the foreseeable future?  Well I wasn't lying.  My inbox is still getting filled with gorgeous photos from my parents Parisian adventure.  And I just found out another friend of mine is headed to Paris on Sunday.  What are the chances?  Are people really trying to torture us poor hard working souls stuck behind a desk?!?! 

Haha of course I joke.  I love hearing and seeing all about it their journey.  And how can I complain getting to live vicariously through them?

So today I wanted to share a little bit more Paris with you all so you can all swoon along with me :)

I Love NY

Good morning, loves! And happy mid-week to you all!  We are experiencing some incredible weather this week in NY and I couldn't be happier.  This is my most favorite time of the year in the city.  Bright blue skies, low humidity and a little bit of crispness in the air.  Nothing beats it, especially after our humid summers.

Today I just wanted to take a second to acknowledge the love I have for my wonderful city. I know I blab on and on about fantasizing about visiting other marvelous places such as I did yesterday with Paris. But, as many of you pointed out to me, {and believe me I do know, that's why I ran off to live here 23 years ago at the age of 17 and never looked back :)} I am extremely fortunate to live in what I consider to be the most amazing city in the world. 

New York is diverse and has an incredible energy that you can't really define.  It's chock full of culture, the arts & fashion. You can get anything you want at any time of the day. And above all NY is strong & resilient.  They tried to knock us down but the city and the people came back bigger and better than ever. 

Yesterday on my way to work, the 11th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, they made an announcement on the bus that all MTA buses would be observing a moment of silence at 8:46am.  All buses would stop at the curbside for 1 minute to remember the lives of those lost on that horrific day.  As tears welled up in my eyes as well as my fellow passengers I felt an overwelming sense of strength and pride in my city.  We will never forget but we will never let anyone keep us down.

Dreaming of Paris

Good morning, loves! Hope you're all having a great start to the week.

This week my mind is wandering to where else?  Paris, of course.  But I have a very good reason this time.  My parents have been there since Saturday and they're sending me "wish you were here" emails each and every day in addition to one off photos photos tempting me to book a flight at any given second. 

And I'm positive this dreamy feeling will not go away any time soon because after a week in Paris they're heading to some gorgeous villa in Provence for another week and then to Nice for a few days.  Not a bad way to spend September, huh? I guess visions of all things French will be filling my days for the next few weeks.  Not that I'm complaining :)

Rise & Shine

Good morning, loves! And happy Monday. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I ended up not going to the beach after all this weekend. The weather was bad on Saturday so I stayed in the city and caught up on life a bit. And then yesterday we went out to Long Island and visited Js mom for the day. Overall it was a nice weekend. Oh and I did stop by a beach for like 2 minutes On Sunday to take a quick peak at the sea. :)

So here we are at Monday morning already. Are you all ready to start the week? Not sure that I am but since there's no choice I'm gonna go ahead and roll with it :)

Holding Onto Summer

Happy Friday, lovelies! Who else is excited it's the weekend? For a short week, this week seemed extremely long for some reason. Probably has something to do with how my Tuesday started...

In any case I'm thrilled that Friday has finally rolled around. You'd think that I'd be done with the beach house since it's after Labor Day but nope, that's not the case. We have the house until the end of the month so I'm planning on spending as much time out there as possible in an attempt to squeeze every last bit out of summer. It's not cool enough for boots or hot cider so I might as well, right? :)

I apologize for not being around much this week.  It was a real hectic one but I hope to be back to normal next week.
