Pretty Little Things

Good morning, lovelies! Hope you're all having a splendid week.

Wanted to share with you some pretty little things that have been catching my eye as of late. This time of year everything seems to get so dark and heavy and even a bit clunky but these soft delicate pieces are really speaking to me today.  Soft feminine touches can really lighten up the long dark seasons ahead.  I plan on incorporating them into my life as soon as possible. How bout you?

Bundle Up

Good morning, loves!  Happy Tuesday.  Hope the week is treating you well.

So it seems like fall has decided to pay us a visit here in NYC.  It was freezing yesterday.  I actually had to pull out all of my layers, boots, tights and all for the first time this season.  It was a total shock to the system.  It could have to do with the fact that I was couped up under the blankets in my apartment for days and not accustomed to outdoor life. Or it could be that I'm still sick so I'm a bit sensitive to the cold.  Or it could be the fact that it's just plain cold out. Can you say burrr?  Oh well, at least fall is the best season to dress for, right? :)

Awakenings

Happy Monday, loves!  And welcome to a brand new week!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

J & I were both sick and in bed all weekend long but we're slowly getting better.  It's amazing what a rebirth you feel once you turn that corner and start making your way back to good health, isn't it?  It was a bit of a blessing in disguise though because I was forced to finally take a break from all of the craziness and sit back and relax and take care of things in life.

Finally Friday

Happy Friday, loves! I'm so happy that the weekend is finally here. And I'm extra excited because I'm going to be home all weekend. That's so what the doctor ordered these days.

Looking forward to cuddling up at home and catching up on life. The weather is supposed to be wet and cold so I won't be tempted to leave my couch which is a-ok in my book :)

Perfect Way To Start the Day

Good morning, loves! And happy Thursday to you all.  

Today I'm craving a slow start to my day.  I'm not saying that I'm wishing to stay in bed all day or anything like that.  I'm heading to work of course. But things have been so hectic lately that a leisurely petit déjeuner sounds positively heavenly.  I'm going to try to steal a few moments this morning and try to make that happen.

Ravishing Red

Good morning, loves! How's the week treating you so far?  Mine's as busy and crazy as usual.  Unfortunately this is becoming my norm lately.  I was hoping to leave all of the craziness behind in Spetember but it seems to have followed me into October...

Anyway, enough of my complaining.  Let's go onto another color crush of mine.  Besides burgundy or oxblood red I'm also really head over heels for true reds.  The brighter and richer the better in my book.  I can't get enough of my red jeans, Love Quotes red scarf and my favorite nail color, Essie's Lollipop.  I've been wearing them nonstop lately.  And to tell you the truth, this color looks amazing with burgundy so I've been combining my two color crushes quite a bit this season.

Cuddle Up

Good morning, loves!  Hope you're having a wonderful start to the week. 

I'm getting reacclimated to city life and taking care of one household and I have to say that it feels really good. Fall is in the air and I'm so excited to be back in the city for the long haul. I say this now. Give me a month or so and I'm sure I'll be itching to do something else but for now the thought is utter bliss :)

There's something so romantic about this time of year.  The colder weather and layers just makes me want to light some candles, plop down on the couch and cuddle right on up under my throw for some serious snuggle time.  Add a foot massage in there and I'm happy as a girl can be.  I really couldn't ask for a better way to spend a day.

Hello, October!

Good morning, sweets! And welcome to a brand new week and month! Can't believe it's October already. September seems to have flown right by and now here we are.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. We had a good one. Had some Halloween fun on Saturday night and then we closed up the beach for the season. So I've officially said goodbye to summer and now I'm really ready to embrace fall with all of my heart and soul.

One Last Time

Happy Friday, lovelies!  And welcome to the weekend!

I'm off to the beach house for one last weekend.  I'm sad to say goodbye to the summer fun but it's nice to know that it'll all be there when we're ready to return in May.  Looking forward to quiet days at the beach and good times with our island friends.  And we even have some excitement planned.  This Saturday night is our Fire Island Halloween party since most people leave the island before the actual holiday.  If you're interested to see what I'm going to be you can check out Instagram and Twitter for photos. :)

Autumn's Arrival

Hi loves!  And happy Thursday to you!

So it's official.  Fall's here in full swing.  I've broken out the layers and the boots and I just made my transition from iced coffee to hot coffee drinks.  Even though I'm sad to have said goodbye to summer I must admit that I'm pretty excited for all the fun that's yet to come.

Back To Burgundy

Hi loves! Hope you're all having a wonderful week. And look at that, we're already at Wednesday. Feels good, doesn't it?

Fall has officially showed up here in NYC with brisk mornings and chilly evenings so these days I'm full on embracing the season, whipping out some of my old faves my burgundy pashmina, my burgundy blazer and my burgundy boots.  Do you get the point that I'm a long time lover of all things burgundy? My couch is that color, my duvet, and it was actually even one of my wedding colors. It never gets old in my book. And I'm so happy that it's the color of the season because that means that there is so much more of it to buy.  Lucky me!

And I've already made some headway in that area picking up some jeans just the other day.  Now if only I could locate my Chanel bag...if anyone comes across a medium Shiva bag in burgundy please let me know.  I would be forever indebted to you :)
