Monday Morning

Good Monday morning, loves! And welcome to a brand new week! How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?

Our weekend was nice. We left the city on Saturday morning and spent some QT with our 9 year old niece. It was so good to see her and have some good girl bonding time. Her mother, who was our best friend, passed away two years ago and we always end up doing fun girlie stuff with her. She's totally that girl. Just like her Mom. Shopping, nails, and things like that. It's always really emotional to see her but so rewarding at the same time.

Then Sunday we had some more family time with both of our families. Saw Js mother earlier in the day and then had a fabulous dinner with my family for my mother's birthday.

All in all it was a fun weekend. No beach but I saw that life can indeed be fun without it :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

xoxo

Sounds like a good weekend :) We crammed too much in the weekend, trying to make up for my laying around during surgery recovery the past couple of weeks. Oh well - maybe we'll have a relaxing week!

Nice pics...

Spending some QT with our loved ones especially on weekends makes us less cranky on the Mondays... kinda calms us inside when we spend some time with the people we love ♥

I just relaxed and reflected on the beach (see why on my last blog post). I'm not really a beach bunny (I get restless very quickly), but Hubby is and this weekend it was much needed. I'm feeling ready for the week now (altho' that image of the gorgeous bed looks so inviting).

It's wonderful that you are doing things like this! I'm sure it means a lot to her and her family... The weekend was perfect except that moment in the night when our kitten Henry jumped excitedly on our bed and when we finally opened our eyes to see what made him so happy it was a dead mouse he was throwing around. EEEK! xoxo

My heart breaks for your loss and that of your niece. Fortunately, she has amazing aunts who will remind her of her mom and give her the girl times she needs. So heartwarming, Dawn. Have a wonderful week!

I'm sure your neice was thrilled to have you spend some quality time with her. You and J must mean the world to her.

And, like you, I enjoyed family time. My brother's family came from Texas so we were at the water all weekend.

Happy Monday, doll!

That is so amazing that you still get to be such a special part of her life, I'm sure she needs it! I can't imagine loosing a best friend, but much less my mom at such a young age. Nothing like some good girl bonding time to make a weekend fabulous! (c:
