I have to say, this year I was pretty impressed with the majority of the starlets on the red carpet. Some took chaces, some played it a bit safe, but I think for the most part everyone looked pretty damn good. But there have to be winners and loosers, right? That's the name of the game. So in that vain, here are my picks for best & worst dressed at last nights Oscars.
The Winners
Diane Kruger in Chanel CoutureI know this has gotten mixed reviews so far but I've been in love with this dress since the
first time I laid eyes on it last summer. And nobody wears Chanel like Diane does.
This woman apparently has sold her soul to the Devil. Or is taking some magic youth potion. She was absolutely stunning in this ruffled silk organza Versace gown.
Sandra Bullock in Marchese
Sandra won all around last night in this metallic & lace Marchese gown. And I loved her hair and makeup.

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab Haute Couture
She took a chance in this romatic print dress and in my book she was a clear winner. The swirling blue, pink and green print was mesmerizing. And I loved her rose-cut diamond pendant earrings.

Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab Couture
She was simply stunning in this soft pink off-the shoulder draped gown.
Honorable Mentions
Queen Latifah in Badgley Mischka
She keeps getting better and better doesn't she? I thought she looked ravishing in this one shoulder, bead-embellished lavender satin mermaid gown.
SJP in Chanel Couture
I know this one has gotten mixed reviews too but I loved it. Reminded me of a photo of my grandmother at a wedding in the 60s. Loved the whole thing, the gown, the hair & the makeup.
Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta
I'm not usually a big fan, but I thought she looked pretty good in this glittering champagne tulle gown.
Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham
She looked pretty in this strapless champagne hand-beaded gown.
Penelope Cruz in Donna Karan
Loved the color (it was one of my wedding colors :)) and she always looks gorgeous.

Jennifer Lopez in Armani Prive
Interesting cut...the crescent-shaped bustier cascaded into a dramatic side train. And I liked the iridescent pink color.
Amanda Seyfried in Armani Prive
I love the dress but sort of wish she choose a different color. I've been back and forth on this one since I watched the arrivals last night....
Kate Winslet in Yves Saint Laurent
She's gorgeous and looked great but I kinda wish she took more of a chance.
Meryl Streep in Chris March
She looked amazing! And I love how she went with this Project Runway alumn.
Kristen Stewart in Monique Lhuillier.
She looked good but played it safe with the staple goth color.
Tina Fey in Michael Kors
I thought she rocked this sexy beaded black leopard print, one-shoulder gown.
Carey Mulligan in Prada
Simply adorable! I love how she went for this whimsical Prada gown embellished with Swarovski crystal flowers as well as tiny forks, knives, scissors and other charms.
Nicole Richie in Reem Acra
One of my early favorites, she rocked her signature vintage look in Reem Acra's multi-colored sequined gown.
The Losers
Zoe Saldana in Givenchy
I loved many aspects about this...I love how she took the risk, I love the sparkling bodice but the purple ombre sculptured tulle skirt was too much.

Vera Farmiga in Marchesa
I sort of liked this at first glance. She was a standout on the red carpet...I loved the color but as I watched her sit in the front row I thought the ruffled fuchsia gown was a bit much. I also didn't like her choice of red lipstick color with the gown.
Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries Van Noten
Again, I liked that she took a rish in the color and print but I didn't think it was special enough. I could see someone wearing this to a summer wedding....
Charlize Theron in Christian Dior.
Seriously? Those cinnamon bun boobs? No. Color was gorgeous...love the two-tone lilac but it could have been a winner if not for the baked goods on top.
So what did you guys think? Who were your winners and loosers?
