Fresh Start

Happy Monday morning everyone! I'm finally starting to feel better so it's time too leave my house and get back to normalcy. At least I didn't miss out on a lot the past few days. The weather was horrible so it was very easy to rest up and stay indoors the entire weekend. I was able to catch up on some magazine reading and I finally saw The September Issue which I absolutely loved.

It made me respect Anna Wintour a little more and I absolutely love Grace Coddington, the Creative Director of US Vogue! What a visionary! Her work is just so dreamy. Here's an example of her amazing work, the 20s inspired Paris, Je T'aime.


Amazing, right? I've been dreaming of beautiful photoshoots ever since I saw the movie. If you haven't had a chance to see it yet, I highly recommend that you catch it. I'm pretty sure that you'll love it.

And now onto some exciting news. Tomorrow I'll be back with a fabulous giveaway. I'm so excited about this one because it's an amazing giveaway by one of my favorite companies. Amazing Anna

I am absolutely swooning over this peak inside of Anna Dello Russo's Milan apartments. The Fashion Director-At-Large of Vogue Nippon invited Tommy Ton from Jak & Jil to visit both of her apartments during Milan Fashion Week. And yes, I am saying apartments, she has two right next door to each other. One that specifically houses her clothing archive!!! I mean, I can't say I'm surprised with her passion for clothing and all things amazing. It's really just spectacular, right? Check out Jak & Jil for more info.

Wakeup Shakeup

This editorial in February's Spanish Vogue is exactly what I needed to perk me up this morning. I'm loving her energy and the dresses and jewels. Just gorgeous. Speaking of dresses, I still need to find something to wear for the ReadyMade shoot on Thursday...I wish H&Ms Garden Collection was in store...

September Calling

I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I kinda secretly can't wait for the wedding to be over. I mean I'm excited an all for the wedding. I know it's gonna be amazing. But I'm kinda wedding burnt out. Horrible, right???

I'm just looking forward to all things fall. Which this year, in addition to my usual staple favorites - fall fashion, hockey, September fashion magazines & fall cooking, will include much needed peace & quiet & The Setember Issue , the much anticipated documentary chronicling Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's preparations for the monster 840 page September 2007 issue.

I cannot wait for the movie. And I know I'm not the only one who is weirdly facinated by Anna. I've been intrigued by her influence & icyness for years now. I loved the 60 minutes interview and it's going to be great seeing her in all her glory in the full length documentary. It should be the real life Devil Wears Prada.

Last night was the premiere and I'm just loving Sienna's dress. That gorgeous icy-blue strapless minidress is to die for! Reception dress anyone???

The movie opens in Manhattan on August 28th but that's only 1 week before the wedding so I doubt that I'll get to see it until after I'm back from the honeymoon just in time for the national release on September 11th.
