Color Pop

Photobucketnullnullnull

Good morning, loves! Hope you're having a bright and cheery week!

Speaking of bright, it's getting to be that time of year where all I want is bright pops of vibrant color to help tempt spring to come my way. Yeah I know it's still technically February and we have a few more weeks before it's officially here but this happens to me ever year. I anxiously await it's arrival as colors of the rainbow float through my dreams.

The stores are all decked out in color. And I have to admit that even though I'm looking forward to ditching my dark winter clothes, I'm a bit timid to go full on head to toe neon this time of year. Well honestly I'd probably never go full on head to toe neon but you get what I mean.

I'd rather ease on into the trend with my manis. I already ditched my old winter standby Wicked last week and started sporting one of my other go to faves, Essie Lollipop. And I have to tell you, it instantly brightened up things.

And I have a few more shades on the radar that I'll be picking up in the near future. Here are a few I'm lusting after.

What are your favorite nail shades these days? Any new shades that you have your eye on this season?

Have a wonderful day, sweets!

The Softer Side of Winter

nullnullnullnullnull

Happy Thursday, loves! Hope you're all having a lovely start to the day.

I wanted to share with you one of my latest color combo obsessions, ivory and a kiss of aqua. Everything is so dark this time of year that I found myself gravitating towards winter white and lighter pastels which are all gorgeous and good but how do you pull that off this time of year? Winter white yes, but lavender? It's a bit hard. But I think I've finally found the perfect way to achieve the lighter mood I'm going for with this gorgeous combo. What do you guys think?

Have a wonderful day and see you all Friday!

xoxo

Red, Red Wine

This has got to be one of my all time favorite color combinations. Burgundy & red. So bold, so delicious and just so pretty.

I fell in love with this combo many many, years ago on a trip to Milan. I walked into a Prada store and there it was, hitting me smack dab in the face. I was smitten at first sight. I purchased a pair of red & burgundy kitten heel slingbacks that day about 10 years ago and I still wear them to this day.

I recreate this combo all the time in all different ways. My nails...I'll wear both colors at the same time. Apparel...burgundy skirt, red shirt. Wine clutch, red pumps. I've done it all. Especially this time of year. There's something about fall that makes me want to mix these bold, lush colors together.

Think I know what I'll be wearing today :) How bout you all? Are you loving this combo as much as I am?

Enjoy the day, lovelies!

Happy Thursday, lovelies! I'm just loving all the little intricate details in these photos. The layering and wrapping of the body, the gorgeous beading and of course the stunning architecture. And while I'm on the topic of color combos...isn't this one just gorgeous? So soothing and romantic.

Hope you're all having a lovely week xoxo

Crushing Combo

Photobucket

Photobucket

Ever since I first laid eyes on the living room above in Rue I've had a major thing for this color combo. Cobalt & marigold and while you're at it throw in a little camel too. Isn't it just so striking and inviting? And now, thanks to The Sartorialist it is now a full on, no turning back, head over heels crush!

Unfortunately my wardrobe seems to be severely devoid of these colors, minus the camel, of course. Heading out the door to shop as we speak :)

What do you guys think? Are you loving it as much as I am? Any other color combos you're crushing over these days?

Chic Combo

Blush & black. One of my favorite combinations for both fashion & decor. It's uber feminine, uber chic and I always get a little Chanel vibe every single time I put the two together.

Have a fabulously chic day, lovelies!

Neutral Ground

Grey & camel. I just love the combination. Or pairing any neutral together for that matter. It's classic yet fresh and seems so perfect right now especially when adding some knits in there.

I'm also ready to ditch my Wicked nail color, my staple for quite some time, for the time being for some shimmering dark mocha. Doesn't it all look fabulous?

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday! xoxo

Hot Chocolate

Happy Wednesday, darlings! There's been a chill in the air the past few days and I keep looking for something to warm me up. These gorgeous photos certainly do the trick! Loving the delicious chocolate, caramel and honey tones. And I love the splash of slate, one of my annual fall staples. A perfect cozy neutral palette to cuddle up to.

Hope you all have a wonderful day! xoxo

Soft Surroundings

Happy Thursday, lovelies! Hope you are all enjoying the week so far. Good news, tomorrow's Friday and I couldn't be happier. It's going to be perfect here this weekend. Cool, crisp sunny days with temperatures in the 60s finally. I'm really looking forward to a true fall weekend.

Ok, enough of getting ahead of myself. It's only Thursday so I'll focus on today. And what's really striking my fancy today is this soft, muted, dusty palette of pinks, greens, greys and cream. It's so dreamy, romantic and utterly feminine.

I've always stuck to this palette for my bedroom because it's so cozy and inviting but I'm going to be doing my living room over soon and I'm starting to think about working within this palette for that space as well. Right now my living room is dark...deep burgundys, dark wood and camel. But I'm thinking this would make a really nice, refreshing change. What do you think?

Visions of Violet

Happy Thursday, lovelies! Hope that you're all having a wonderful week. So happy that it's Thursday already. I can almost feel the weekend already!

I know it's almost fall so these days my eye has been bombarded with the typical autumn palette, Golden amber, olive & moss, and apple & burgundy, all colors I absolutely love. But for some reason today I'm dreaming of all things violet. It's vivid yet light & airy, with just of touch of smoky and for some reason it instantly entrances me. I just love being in a purple haze.

What colors are you drawn to today?

Punchy Paradise

For the most part I'm a pretty neutral person when it comes to my wardrobe. Well black mostly, I do live in NYC so it's kind of a given, but with a decent amount of camel, white and some champagne and gold scattered in there.

But when I think of summer and tropical locations my mind instantly goes to bright, bold, punchy colors. When packing I tend to leave my black behind and reach for any bit of color that screams to me from my closet...green, pink, yellow & blue. All the colors come together in one rainbow colored pile on my bed. It's so funny but when I look down at that pile, I suddenly feel like a different person. Not the too busy to get everything accomplished in life girl that I usually feel like. The other me, the carefree vacation me. And I feel happy and lighter and instantly ready to roll. All the better for some fun in the sun :)

How about you guys? Do you go punchy for vacation or do you keep it clean, crisp, white and neutral?
