Giving Thanks

Good morning, lovelies! And to all of my American friends, Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Today J & I are heading on out of the city to spend time with our families for a few days. The days will be filled with lots of eating, celebrating, giving thanks, walks, naps and all around happiness.

I am grateful for many things in my life, J, my family and friends, my health, my job, my home and I am also so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for enriching my life so.

Afternoon Delight

Good morning, lovelies! And happy Wednesday to you all.

So happy to say that today is my Friday! I'm lucky to have an incredibly short week, only 2 and a half days of work, since Thanksgiving is tomorrow.

I get out of work at noon today so I have the whole afternoon to myself. A perfect way to start the holiday weekend. I'm hoping that the weather clears up so that I can take a walk in Central Park and then catch the Thanksgiving Day parade balloons being blown up later on tonight.

Other than that, I'm planning on a relaxing 4 day weekend with lots of family time. Also planning on catching up on life and getting ready for the holiday season. Christmas is only a month away and there's lots to do!

Reality Check

Happy Tuesday, lovelies! Hope you're all enjoying the week so far.

As for me I'm in major catch up mode. Also I feel like I'm in a bit of a time warp. My mind is still daydreaming about frolicking in the aquamarine sea but my eyes and body are telling me something else. That it's most definitely fall and that Thanksgiving is just a few short days away. I need to shift gears and focus on baking and getting ready for the holiday. And also, Christmas is right around the corner! Yikes! Better get a move on!

Thankful Day & A Winner!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends! I'm heading out to Long Island today to spend the day with my family. I've tried my best to detox from this past weekend's festivities and I think I'm ready to take on my 2nd Thanksgiving in less than 5 days. Wish me luck :)

I'm such a fortunate girl and I have so much to truly be grateful for including:

• J, my eternal love and soulmate
• My family, for always being there
• My friends, for knowing me better than I know myself
• My health and the health of my loved ones. Unfortunately there is someone extremely close to me who could use a little help in that department but nonetheless I'm still grateful for having him in my life and for every second I get to spend with him.
• My job, I'm a very lucky girl to gets paid to do what I love to do.
• Vacations! Including the 10 day one that I leave for tomorrow morning!

Wakeup & Smell The Roses!

Good Monday morning, lovelies! Yup it's that time again. Time to get up and face the week. Luckily for me it's a short week. Only 3 days of work, then it's Thanksgiving followed by vacation. Yes, on Friday I will be soaking up the sun and frolicking in the gorgeous Caribbean Sea. I can't wait!

This weekend was nice. Filled with lots of family time and lots of eating. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner for J's family yesterday which was great but I'm still exhausted this morning. Too much eating and not much rest at all. It's ok though. I'm ready to face this short week head on :)

Have A Reflective Weekend

Happy Friday, everyone! What do you all have on tap this weekend? Ideally I would love to have a leisurely, relaxing, reflective weekend but that's not my reality this weekend. I'm hosting Thanksgiving for J's family on Sunday and our nephew who's in college is coming to stay at our apartment Saturday night so it's work, work, work all weekend long.

No complaints though. It'll be well worth it to spend time with family and to eat some delicious food. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and this year I'll get to eat the meal twice! Once with J's family and then with mine on Thursday. Lucky me! I might not be feeling too lucky on Friday though when I have to get into a bathing suit on vacation. Oh well, it's a time to be plentiful, right? :)

Happy Turkey Day!!!

I want to wish all my fellow American friends a very Happy Thanksgiving today! Eat some yummy turkey & pie for me. I'm going to try to hunt some down in Amsterdam but I'll most likely have to settle for some delicious pancakes instead :)
