Next To Nude

Speaking of lightening up, I'm loving these barely there shades of nude and blush. I'm looking to make the switch not only in my wardrobe and accessories but in my home as well.

Right now my living room is primarily filled with dark woods and wines but I'm really considering making a major switch, something more along the lines of the living room above. Isn't it just dreamy? I'm a bit concerned with upkeep and such but there has to be a way to make it work, right?

Hope you're all having a great week!

Gilt Trip & A Guest Post

Happy Friday, darlings! I am beyond thrilled that it's almost the weekend. As I've mentioned a few times already, this week has been quite the whirlwind. I had every intention of throwing myself into holiday mode the second I got back from vacation. Unfortunately the events of the week have prevented me from doing so and I'm starting to panic that everything won't get done. Oh well, that's what the weekend's for, right?

I recently found out that we will be hosting the holidays this year so I really need to get in gear. I'm planning on decorating this weekend and on making a pretty good dent in the shopping.

Every year I put together a palette that I like to work off of for gift wrapping and decor. This year I'm thinking warm metallics, heavy on golds, soft copper and silvers that are warmed by gold reflection. I also like the idea of having some black accents. I'm anxious to see how it all comes together this weekend.

Oh and speaking of the holidays, yesterday I shared what I'd love to see in my stocking this year on over at La vie...J'aime. I'm sure hoping I get at least one of these babies. I've been good this year {Santa, are you listening??? :)} Be sure to check it out if you have a chance!

So what do all of you lovelies have planned this weekend? Are you in good shape for the holidays? Hope you all have a wonderful one! xoxo

Model Apartment

Have you guys had a chance to get a glimpse of Coco Rocha's fabulous apartment? I love everything about it. It's tres unique & tres chic. And it's no surprise since she is married to fabulous interior designer James Conran. Love the mirrors in her living room, her teapot collection and that piggy bank that looks like a YSL bag. And how bout her wardrobe and her makeup counter? Just a dream! As if I didn't love Coco enough!

And don't forget to enter the Shopbop Giveaway to win a $100 gift card. Remember you can tweet every day for extra entries.
Good luck!

Sweet Nothings

Happy Wednesday lovelies! Hope you've all been having a fabulous week. I'm so happy that we've made it to the midpoint!

I don't know about you but I've been craving a little sweetness lately. Divine & scrumptious cotton candy, marshmallow & macaroon shaded interiors and fashion. It's all so dreamlike & surreal, right? Bring on the opulent, candy colored excess! Oh it's pure yumminess, isn't it?

What have you been craving lately?

I just love the soft, delicate and oh so feminine look of peaches and cream. It's calming yet uplifting at the same time.

Hope you're all having a lovely week!

Model {Apartment} Makeover

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again, right? Two years ago Jessica Stam showed off her Union Square apartment in Elle Decor. Her decorator friend, Rafael de Cárdenas, turned the bright, one-bed two-bath space in a converted factory building into an uber-girlie purple paradise. Pretty yes, but not exactly right for her.

Fast forward two years later and she decided to make some tweaks to better fit her personality. Where before her apartment was full of pastels, florals, and a lot of wallpaper it's now been transformed thanks to some muted gray paint, black-and-white tweed, and chrome touches. She kept bits of the satin and Lucite but added some more tailored elements.

She did however, decide to keep the massive Moroccan doors that serve as an entrance to her private bedroom from the living room. Good decision, in my opinion. They're spectacular!

Do you guys have a preference?

Decor to Dress {Pure Romance}

I'm constantly inspired by interiors and fashion and I've been having fun lately doing some different mashups. I'm loving the romantic feel & colors of all three of these rooms and I think I've been able to find some pretty fashion to match.

Loving the the light & airy feel of this room. I can just picture lounging on that chaise with the window cracked open feeling a soft breeze instantly relax me & lull me into a blissfull afternoon nap. The breezy, flowing, romantic feel of this gown brings me a similar feeling of bliss.

Feathers & light! Love how the soft pastels break up the neutral palette of this room. And the feather pillow adds the perfect playful punch. I don't know about you but I always love to add that same amount of playfullness to my outfits.

Love the rich ornate feeling of this space. The chandelier, the draping of the table cloth...I love the balance between structure and fluidity.I get a similar feeling from the draping and luxe fabric of gown on the right paired with the corset.

Hope you're all having a wonderful Thursday. One more day till the weekend! :)

Animal Instincts

I am contemplating giving my apartment a little refresh. Now that my wedding is a distant memory...I can't believe I'll be married 6 months this weekend!...and spring is coming, I feel like the time has come for a a re-decorating project.

I'm loving the idea of incorporating a little animal print somewhere. I adore animal print and right now the only home decor element I have is a little throw pillow for one of my chairs. I'm definitly loving the idea of a throw rug or maybe a chair.

And I'm really liking the look of mixing color pieces or accents with animal print to brighten the whole thing up and not having it be so monochromatic. I think it's a more modern approach.
