Flower Power

Happy morning, loves! Hope you're all doing well.

I'm in a super mood this morning. Wanna know why? Because I looked outside and what did I see? A canopy of blooms covering my usual stark and concrete view.

Each and every day I've been noticing a new tree or flower patch blooming. It's so energizing to watch the rebirth unfold, isn't it? I know it does wonders for my spirit and hope it has the same effect on yours.

I'm also in a great mood because today is my last day of work for the week. Tomorrow I'll be enjoying the start of a 3 day weekend! Happiness all around. :)

Embracing The Outdoors

Good morning, sweets! How are you all enjoying this lovely week?

Like I said yesterday, I'm relaxing and taking it easy and finally getting back into a normal pace of life. The days are lighter and brighter, the trees and flowers are starting to bloom, and all I want to do is be outdoors as much as possible {minus yesterday morning during the cold spell we experienced! Luckily it warmed up by afternoon :)}

I'm longing for walks in the park, dining outdoors and who knows, maybe even a picnic if we're lucky enough. Hoping to experience one or all of these this weekend.

Spring Breeze

Good morning, sweets! Hope you're all having a fabulous start to the day.

Despite my frantic schedule, {I apologize again for being MIA the past few days....it's hard to plan your spouses 40th birthday, I tell ya!}, I'm walking on air today because I'm just giddy over the gorgeous weather we've been having. Yesterday I even broke out my trench coat and ballet flats for the first time all year.

The weather is hitting the 70s, there's a beautiful balmy breeze in the air, and the buds are starting to blossom.

And just this past weekend we sprung our clocks ahead and now it truly feels as if spring is really here.

Sunny Days & Tulips

Good morning, loves! Lately I've been loving waking up in the morning. Well, maybe love is too strong a word. Perhaps I should say I don't really mind waking up in the morning.

I'm so enjoying waking up to the sunshine pouring through my windows. The days are getting longer and I feel like spring is so close that I can almost taste it. J surprised me with a big bouquet of tulips yesterday at work for absolutely no reason at all. And today it's going to be near 70 degrees in NYC and that is pretty unheard of for this time of year.

So these days I'm just content to sit back and bask in the happiness that comes along with spring. :)

Sweet as Sugar

Good morning, loves! Lately I've been swooning over all things sugary sweet. Care for a macaron anyone? Yeah, I'm talking about all of those pastel shades of deliciousness.

And I'm in desperate need of some lightening up. We'll be heading on down to New Orleans in less than two weeks to celebrate Js birthday and I'm trying to quickly springize {is that word?} my wardrobe.

I picked up a few items recently but I need to squeeze in a bit more shopping time before my trip.

Spring Dreams

Happy Thursday, lovelies. Boy does it feel nice to say that this morning, after only 2 days of work this week. Friday will be here before I know it! It's been a busy week but at least it's a short one. :)

The weather yesterday was just gorgeous with bright blue skies and spring like temps. Has me dreaming of the warmer, longer days ahead. Beautiful blooms, floral prints, and spending time outdoors. I just hope this isn't a tease. Winter, I'm ready to bid you adieu!

Spring Tease

Happy Thursday, loves! Hope you're having a splendid week.

We're currently be spoiled here in NY with a stretch of days with spring like temperatures. I didn't even need to wear a coat yesterday! {But I did...Just didn't close it :)}.

All of this warm weather is teasing me with thoughts of spring. My ideal day would be a stroll in Central Park followed by a stop in Ladurée. And of course I'd stop by my favorite flower market for some fresh blooms.

Stepping Into Spring & A Guest Post!

Good morning, lovelies! Hope your week is going splendidly. I'm still playing catch up after vacation, no surprise. It always takes a while for me to get back in the grove. I'm not worried though. It'll all come in time. I still have that vacation ease about me.

And in the meantime I'm thoroughly enjoying the gorgeous weather and beauty of spring that has popped up around here since I've been gone. Looking out my window I see a gorgeous canopy of green taking over the parks. And I also came back to peonies at my flower market. I'm over the moon since I've been waiting all year. I purchased a bunch for home and a bunch for work. I want to see those beauties wherever I happen to be. The trees are all green and flowers are in bloom and I'm as happy as can be :)

Tuesday Toast

Happy Tuesday, lovelies! The weather's finally warming up here. It's going to be close to 80 today and all I can think about is taking a little breather. Pack a basket, pop open a bottle of bubbly and see where there day takes me. Spring is here at last!

I had such a wonderful time yesterday meeting Marie-Ève. We've been blog friends for 2 years now and having the opportunity to actually get to meet in person was incredible. She showed up with her beautiful family and bouquet of gorgeous anemones and they all charmed me beyond words. That is one of the most incredible parts of blogging that I never anticipated when I started this whole endeavor. Getting to meet the amazing people behind the blogs and the relationships that develop. Oh and silly me, I forgot my camera in my office so I didn't get a chance to take any photos.

And speaking of blogger meet-ups, this week is my lucky week because today I get to meet the lovely Isabelle of Pink Lemonade. I'll try to remember photos this time :)

Fresh Flowers

Morning, lovelies! Happy Wednesday to you all! Hope you are all enjoying the holiday week. It almost feels like the week between Christmas and New Years because everyone is off, things are quite, and the only people who seem to be in the city are spring breakers.

Speaking of spring break, one of my most favorite parts about this season is finally getting to see the gorgeous bunches of blooms at my local market. For weeks now I've been meaning to pick some up but it was either the wrong time or place. Whatever the case I'm desperate to get some in my home to liven things up a bit. We've been bombarded with April showers this month so since there's a lack of sunshine, I need to brighten up my home in other ways.
