Wednesday Wishes - Marabou

I know it's getting warmer but I can't help but lust for marabou after seeing it all over the Sonia Rykiel & Dior shows last week. It's too much fun! I really have to have that Dior bag. Add it to the wish list :)

Danger! Curves Ahead!

I adored every little single thing about the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter '10 collection Marc Jacob's put on in Paris yesterday. It was pure Parisian sexy chic circa 1950s & early 60s through and through reminiscent of the days of Bardot. He sent curvier models down the runway including Laetitia Casta, Bar Refaeli, Rose Huntington Whiteley, Catherine McNeil, Karolina Kurkova, and Elle Macpherson.

Now these girls aren't real women curvy but they certainly look it on the runway compared to what we're used to seeing. We saw it first this season at Prada and now at LV. To enhance the whole bigger is better theme, Marc dressed the ladies in corsets that pushed breasts up and out and full skirts that accentuated the hips. In some instances it was a little much and borderlined on dowdy but overall I can't help but love him for it and love how designers are starting to embrace curves. I certainly hope this is a trend that continues.

Wednesday Wishes - All Of These, Please!

Many of you might not be surprised that on only my second week into my Wednesday Wishes series, I'm already lusting after something materialistic. And that just happens to be straight off of the London catwalk.

I've been swooning over the entire Burberry Fall/Winter 2010 collection since it debuted last week. It's my winner for the best outerwear, hands down!

I'd love the entire collection but I've decided to not be greedy and instead focus on a few key pieces. These boots & coats are to die for!!! And to think, just when I thought all my dreams these days would be of warmer weather...

Transitional Threads

The temperature has been rising, and with that comes along the seasonal wardrobe woes. How do you dress for such weather. It's sunny & warm but there's still that little bite in the air. I'm still wanting to wear boots but I'm over my black tights, black jackets and black everything else. What's a girl to do?

Well I took one look at Galliano's Dior Fall 2010 show and now I'm suddenly feeling inspired. I have great boots in other colors besides black, in fact I own suede OTK boots just like the ones above, and I just loooove the look of pretty little dresses peaking out from underneath putty colored jackets.

What do you guys think? What are your favorite looks for transitional weather?

Amber Waves

I'm loving this Mulberry dress from the Fall 2010 collection. It's so fun, flirty and feminine. Check out all of those ruffly waves! And Amber Le Bon scored it right off the runway. Lucky girl!

Perfect Posh

I'm loving the Fall 2010 collection Victoria Beckham presented last week in NY. Gorgeous, well constructed sheaths and even some looser fitting draped pieces that were just to die for. I'll take one of each please!

Matthew & Sienna

Seems like best friends Matthew Williamson & Sienna Miller had quite the eventful weekend. Both took part in the fashion festivities that is London Fashion Week yesterday.

Early in the day Sienna sat front row at Matthew's Fall 2010 show. And later that evening she, along with her sister Savannah presented the Fall 2010 showing of their Twenty8Twelve line.

Matthew's show was inspired by Spain and the culture of the matador. It seems as if he's designing for a more mature woman these days. There was a bunch of tweed which I was really surprised about. But he didn't abandon his younger clientele completely. There were a bunch of classic MW fiesta prints, sexy draped dresses and shine, shine, shine!

Here are some of my personal faves:

Sienna & Savannah's line, Twenty8Twelve, was inspired by 1980’s underground club culture. There was lots of velvet, lots of shine & some knits. Sienna could pull off any of the pieces. Me...not so much. Here are the few that I would go for.

Can't wait to see what's up next at LFW.

Runway Recap - Vera Wang

The "Bride wore Black" was the theme of Vera Wang's Fall 2010 show and I have to say that black has never looked so good! Chic beautifully tailored pieces were accented with feathers, sequins and Mongolian lamb trim. She threw in a few pops of color, a beautiful petrol blue, ivory and a little peak of aubergine but for the most part it was black, black and more black.

I loved the draping and layering and the alternatives to the black cocktail dress. All fantastic. And she even has me tempted to try pants again. I feel like I haven't worn pants in years!

And I'm loving the multi-standed pearls!

And how bout those Bardott, I'd say more Snookish, beehive coifs? I knew the Jersey shore would make some sort of impression at NYFW :)
