September Calling

I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I kinda secretly can't wait for the wedding to be over. I mean I'm excited an all for the wedding. I know it's gonna be amazing. But I'm kinda wedding burnt out. Horrible, right???

I'm just looking forward to all things fall. Which this year, in addition to my usual staple favorites - fall fashion, hockey, September fashion magazines & fall cooking, will include much needed peace & quiet & The Setember Issue , the much anticipated documentary chronicling Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's preparations for the monster 840 page September 2007 issue.

I cannot wait for the movie. And I know I'm not the only one who is weirdly facinated by Anna. I've been intrigued by her influence & icyness for years now. I loved the 60 minutes interview and it's going to be great seeing her in all her glory in the full length documentary. It should be the real life Devil Wears Prada.

Last night was the premiere and I'm just loving Sienna's dress. That gorgeous icy-blue strapless minidress is to die for! Reception dress anyone???

The movie opens in Manhattan on August 28th but that's only 1 week before the wedding so I doubt that I'll get to see it until after I'm back from the honeymoon just in time for the national release on September 11th.

I just came across Keith Lissner's gorgeous cocktail dresses today on Daily Candy. All I can say is wow I'll take one of each please! The Annie is definitely an option for that change I mentioned earlier.

Yeah For Yoo!

I'm so excited to hear that Jenny Yoo will be holding a sample sale on May 18th & 19th in NYC. Dresses, sweaters & accessories will be 40-80% off! I'm definitely planning on checking it out. Maybe that second dress fantasy of mine could become a reality!

Quick Change

I've been thinking about making a dress change during the reception and/or after party for a while now but I am totally conflicted. Do I really want to change out of my wedding gown??? Originally I was thinking it would be easier for dancing and all but my WG isn't really that heavy. At least I don't remember it to be. I found a few dresses that I like but I'm still not convinced.

Today I came across these gorgeous brodeaux Jenny Yoo dresses and I'm totally in love! Could I really make such a dramatic change or do I need to stick to ivory?

Our attendants will be wearing wine so I'm thinking if I do decide to make a change that I need to stick to something more like this Priscilla of Boston Platinum Collection dress.
