{Guest Post} A Diary of Lovely "Greek Goddess"

As promised, I wanted to share with you the lovely guest posts that some of my favorite blogging friends put together that were supposed to post while I was on vacation. Technical difficulties unfortunately made it impossible last week but I didn't want you all to miss out on the goodness.

First off the lovely Helena of A Diary of Lovely. I'm positive that most of you already know and love her as much as I do. She is one of the sweetest, most lovely girls ever. Every single day I wake up so excited to head on over to her blog to check out what pretty eye candy she's sharing. She's off right now enjoying a dreamy vacation in Greece but even so you must stop by to see what gorgeousness she has going on over there in her absence. And thank you so much Helena, for sharing this bit of loveliness with us all! xoxo

Hello all! I'm Helena from A Diary of Lovely and you can't even begin to imagine how excited I am to be here today covering for gorgeous Dawn while she is away enjoying her off time. Dawn was one of my first blog friends and I treasure that memory dearly, I really hope one day I can get to meet her in person. Dawn and I have a lot of common. We love many similar things and mainly we both have Greek heritage! I know Dawn loves Greece and everything Greek as much as I do, and also loves fashion photography (as much as I do too) so I thought this incredible photo shoot of Jennifer Lopez posing as a Greek Goddess was exactly to the point. This was shot by Siros Poros in the Acropolis in Athens (I'm amazed!) a couple of years ago for a Greek magazine and Jennifer looks the part if you ask me, incredible!

I hope you enjoyed this little Greek inspired post with latin flavors. Thank you so much Dawn for having me here today, hope you are having fun! s'eyxaristo xoxo

Fun-Filled Week {& Some Greek Goodness}

Hi lovelies! So thrilled that it's finally Thursday. This week has been filled with a lot of festivities between my birthday on Tuesday and yesterday was my baby sister's 21st birthday. And she decided to come into the city to celebrate and to have her first legal drink with her big sister. Too cute for words. It was such a treat that she chose to celebrate her day with me. Mind you, I'm pretending that the reason she came into NYC was to see me rather than the excitement of celebrating in the city. Suuuure, I'll keep telling myself that :)

Anyway, I know that I promised to share my bday with you all. I won't go into all the details but overall it was a fabulous day. The exciting news is that I got a Nikon D5000! And I also got a private lesson with a photographer to learn how to actually use the camera, get familiar with it and such and he'll also take me around the city so I can practice taking shots. Pretty cool gift, right? I certainly am a lucky girl. And hopefully things will start looking all the prettier around here once I start to get familiar with using it.

Ok so now onto the photos that I posted here today. Those of you who have been following along might already know about my love of Greece and all things Greek {I am part Greek, after all so it's kinda in me :)} I came across these gorgeous photos from Marie Claire Turkey this month that were shot in the Greek island of Symi. Aren't these gorgeous? Makes me wish I headed there on my August vacation like I did a few years ago. It's such a magical country to visit.

Hope you all have a fabulous Thursday! And good news, we're almost at the weekend :)

I'm Golden & A Guest Post!!!

Well I'm here in paradise and I'm feeling instantly relaxed. Isn't it funny how all of the stress in your life instantly leaves the second you step foot off of the plane? Loving life right now :)

Oh and I also wanted to let you guys in on some fun news! The lovely Persis over at Miles of Style asked me to guest post for her today while she is away on vacation! Yippeee! I can't even tell you how happy I was to fill in.

Most of you are probably familiar with Miles of Style but for those of you who aren't, I strongly urge you to head right over to check it out. It's one of the most gorgeous, chock full of eye candy blogs around. And today if you stop by you can check out one of my all time favorite vacation destinations. And no it's not Bermuda....this is the first time I've ever been :) Think more European, think blue & white, think Aegean Sea. Any guesses? Head on over and check it out to see more :)

Hope you're having a lovely weekend and I'll be back tomorrow with more. Even though I'm away I'll be posting every day. I wouldn't leave you guys for anything. Even for a little vacay :)

xoxo

Wednesday Wishes - Grecian Getaway

And specifically the Katikies Hotel & Villas in Santorini. I am beyond taken with the breathtaking views of Caldera and the azure waters of the Aegean. I'd love to spend my days floating in one of the gorgeous infinity pools or sipping a delicious cocktail while lounging in the most comfortable of chaise lounges. The ultimate escape to paradise. Please excuse me as I go to book my trip :)

Happy Weekend!

I watched Mamma Mia! again last night and it had me once again dreaming of a Greek wedding. I've always kinda fantasized about getting married in Greece. I am part Greek and I visited family many years ago when I was a teenager and I've always wanted to go back. There's something about the white washed buildings and turquoise waters that just grabs a little piece of your heart forever. Oh well, it's always good to have dreams, right? One day I'm going to take J there to have her experience the magic with me.

Have a great weekend everyone!
