Happy Tuesday, lovelies! Hope your week is off to a wonderful start. Mine is great. Last night I met up with two of my old favorite blogging friends, Chic 'n Cheap Living and Very Married. It was so nice to get to see them again. Think it's been about a year between meetups so it was much welcomed :)

And it's turning into a blogger meetup week for me because tonight I'm going to meet Tamra of Walks with Bella for a bite to eat at my favorite NYC restaurant. Hopefully the weather cooperates because we've been planning on dining al fresco. Crossing fingers!

Enjoy the day, sweets! xoxo

Brighter Days

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Good Monday morning, lovelies! How are you all doing today? Did you have a good weekend? Mine was great despite some technological issues. Between blogger problems, an email virus and a dead computer I was beginning to think I was in some sort of a time warp. Luckily things seem to be back to normal now, finger's crossed!

Otherwise it was wonderful. We attended the Manhattan Cocktail Classic Gala at the New York Public Library Friday night and had a fabulous time. Everyone was dressed up to the nines, wandering the halls of the library with amazing cocktails in hand. My kind of night :)

Saturday was a gloomy day but we had a nice day despite the weather. My Aunt came into the city to see a play so we spent the day with her. And Sunday the weather wasn't cooperating again so we spent the day indoors catching up on TV and reading. At least everything seems to be getting back to normal so I have no complaints.

And lucky me, I get to start the week on a high note because I get to meet the amazing Christine of Bijou and Boheme & Alex of Things That Sparkle tonight while they're in town for the Design TV party. Can't wait to meet them in person! Things are looking up indeed :)

Hope you all have a lovely day! xoxo

Happy mid-week, lovelies! I'm bouncing off the walls excited because I just found out yesterday that we are getting summer hours at work this year! I'm getting every other Friday off and the Friday's I have to work, it's only until 1pm! Now that's the way to spend a summer! I'm planning the weekends as we speak.

And what an exciting week I've had! Yesterday I had the chance to meet up with another amazing blogger & author, Isabelle Lafleche from Pink Lemonade. Two amazing bloggers in two days? How lucky can I get? I had the most wonderful time. Our after work drinks turned into dinner. A sign of a truly lovely meet up :)

Lastly before I leave today I wanted to let you know that I'm happily filling in for the lovely Miss Julie from Brown Eyed Belle today while she's off enjoying a beach vacation. Be sure to stop by for some more beachy dreams :)

Oh and really lastly this time, I apologize if I didn't get to make it to your blogs today. Very busy day followed by an extremely slow internet connection made it impossible. I'll definitely be by later on today :)

Have a lovely day!
xoxo

A Guest Post & A Gift!

Happy Monday, lovelies! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was busy but great. I did some shopping, decorated the tree and am really happy to have finally made some progress on Xmas!

And I'm also really happy because I have a few fun things going on today. Firstly, I'm thrilled to be guest posting for the lovely Miss Julie on over at Brown Eyed Belle while she's off having a blast in New Orleans. I'd love it if you all stopped by Julie's gorgeous blog to say hello.

Secondly, I've had a ball participating in Aspiring Splendor's 12 Days of Christmas, a Secret Santa gift exchange where 12 bloggers send gifts to one another that suit their personality based on their blog. So without further adieu, it's my turn!

On the 4th day of Christmas, the lovely Keely from Luxe & Lillies gave to me...

...a gorgeous and oh so delicious Crisp Champagne candle from Voluspa!

I absolutely love it! It goes perfectly with my decor and it smells so good!
Thank you Keely! I couldn't have asked for a lovelier gift.

On the fifth day of Christmas, super stylish Michelle from Studio Surface will be receiving 2 things!

One inspiring to read & another très chic to carry!

I want to thank the amazing Lauren and Beth of Aspiring Splendor for organizing this fabulous blogger collaborative! This really has been a ton of fun!

Hope you all have a chance to stop by all of the fabulous blogs above and I hope you all have a wonderful Monday! xoxo

Amazing Atlanta

OK I know I promised this yesterday but it's taken a bit longer than expected to get caught up with things after the trip. In any case, here are some snapshots from my weekend getaway to Atlanta. Even though it was a very short trip I managed to pack in a bunch of fun in those 2 days.

Saturday I had the opportunity to meet one of my most favorite bloggers, Shari from Little Blue Deer. It was just by luck that we happened to be in the same city at the same time since neither of us currently live there. Shari was visiting her alma mater Emory for homecoming and she invited me to attend the concert the Indigo Girls were having at the university. I took a short taxi ride from the city on over to Emory, got a tiny bit lost but Shari was there to welcome me with open arms and a big smile when I finally arrived.

As I said yesterday, if you think Shari is wonderful from following her blog and from conversing with her over the blogosphere, this girl is even more amazing in person. I was so thrilled that I got to meet her and I actually feel like I've know her for years. Fast friends, for sure! You can head on over to her blog to catch the rest of the of the story that day. {Hint - this city girl had a bit of a hard time hailing a cab on back to the city :)}

Then Saturday night J & I caught the Atlanta Thrashers hockey game which was another real treat. For those of you who are new here, I'll fill you in on my little passion. I've been a hockey fanatic for years and it's our little goal to eventually visit all NHL arenas in the US & Canada. It's always exciting to check another one off the list. So far we've visited 14 out of 30. We're getting there :)

Sunday unfortunately was a rainy day but we didn't let that hamper our fun. Since it was wet outdoors we went with the water theme and decided to head on over to the aquarium to explore the underworld. I love aquariums and have always wanted to visit the Georgia Aquarium, the world's largest one. I always had a fascination with life underneath the sea and this experience was so incredibly magical.

They have a really impressive assortment of species including 2 beluga whales who actually gave me chills as I watched. They are so huge, yet gentle and playful. I felt like I could watch them for hours.

Some other highlights were the manta rays, the huge whale sharks and hammerhead sharks and the absolutely adorable penguins.

I loved it so much that I'm actually planning my next trip to one of the local aquariums. It might not be as impressive as the one in Georgia but I look forward to the opportunity to escape into the underworld for a little while.

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!

Hotlanta Bound!

Happy Friday, lovelies!  So happy the weekend is here.  Tonight I'm off to Atlanta to be reunited with my love and I can't wait!  Looking forward to visiting Atlanta.  I've never been before and it's always been a place I wanted to visit.  I'm also super excited because I'm going to get the opportunity to meet one of my favorite ladies, Shari from Little Blue Deer!  She just so happens to be in Atlanta for the weekend so we have plans to meet up.  Yay, can you believe my luck?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Any exciting plans?

xoxo
