Back To Reality

Hi lovelies! I'm back from NOLA and what a fabulous time I had!

It definitely was a long weekend of gluttony, I was in New Orleans after all, so I'm looking forward to pulling myself together, powdering my nose and getting back to normal today.

I took a ton of photos and I got in pretty late last night so I'll be sharing more about my trip tomorrow.

Party Time!

Happy Friday, lovelies! Today I'm finally off to New Orleans to celebrate J's big 4-0 on Sunday!

This will be our first visit to NOLA and I'm really looking forward to experiencing it to the fullest. I'm sure I will come back stuffed to the gills but I'm planning on living it up while I'm down there.

Beyond Beaming!

Good morning, loves! And happy Wednesday to you all!

I'm in such a wonderful mood as of late. I'm beyond busy prepping for my upcoming trip to New Orleans and for J's birthday but the warm weather, gorgeous flowers and light at the end of the tunnel are having quite the effect on me.

The trip is only a few more days away and now I'm taking care of last minute things. Packing, manis & pedis, and the like. Oh and I just found out that they have a fabulous pool at the hotel so guess who's packing the bikini? :)

Off to prep some more....

Tranquil Tuesday

Good morning, loves! Hope you're all having a wonderful start to the week.

I was lucky enough to have an extended weekend in honor of President's Day. Three days off = pure bliss to me!

J surprised me with a hotel stay at the Dream Downtown. Nothing like getting to stay in a hotel in your own city. Then we wandered the city for a few days playing tourists in our hometown.

Cafe & crepes in Chelsea Market, brunch at Pastis, strolling through the west village. And I even picked up a few new candles at Diptyque. Verveine which smells of so fresh of lemon verbena. One of my all time favorite scents. And I also picked up Foin Coupé which smells like a walk in the French countryside. If I can't be there, I might as well imagine that I'm there. But truly they are both to die for and my apartment smells just heavenly.

What more can a girl ask for? It was a true staycation in every sense of the word :)

So I'm starting this week off in a happy, peaceful frame of mind after a restful and fun-filled long weekend.

Snapshots From Paradise

Morning, lovelies! I'm back from my fabulous vacation in Vieques, aka my new favorite vacation destination.

Hope you all had a wonderful week and weekend. Sorry to be short today, I'm still catching up but in the meantime I wanted to share a few photos from vacation. I promise to share more details soon.

Kisses From Paradise!

Well I'm still here in paradise for another day or so. Leaving to come home tomorrow night so I until then I plan on soaking up every last bit of sun & relaxation that I can get.

Sayonara, Sweets!

Good morning, loves! And happy Friday to you all! So happy to be able to say hello to you this morning. It's been quite the struggle this week and I'm feeling quite privileged to get some computer time. Just wanted to pop on in and bid you adieu before I take off for my week long vacay to paradise. J & I are headed to a fabulous resort in Vieques and this trip couldn't have come at a better time.

Beach Bound...Finally!

Good morning, sweets. Today we're finally gearing up to head on out to Fire Island to start our summer vacation. There's minimal ferry service but at least a few are running and we hear that power's back. We're not 100% sure what we're walking into but we're hoping for the best. Finger's crossed that there's minimal damage to the house and that we're able to finally get this party started!

Storm Watching

Happy Friday, loves! And welcome to the weekend. Well it's just about time for vacation for me.

Unfortunately our plans have gotten a little derailed because of the hurricane that's supposed to hit this weekend. Instead of heading out to the beach house, we're going to stay in the city until the storm passes. It'll be too dangerous to be on a barrier island during the storm.

But the good thing is that I am off all next week. Hopefully there isn't too much damage from the storm and we can head on out to Fire Island on Monday. Finger's crossed we still have power and there isn't flooding!

Hope you all enjoy the weekend and to those of you on the east coast of the US facing the storm, be safe!
