Currently Obsessed...{Gerard Darel 24 Hour Bag}

Good morning loves!  Hope you're all having a fabulous week!

The summer heat has been in full swing this week so summer style is all I'm about these days.  And want to know my latest obsession {besides Olivia Palermo's summer style in general}....

The Gerard Darel 24 Hour Woodstock Bag!  Isn't it fantabulous?

And I'm obviously not alone in feeling this way since Ms. OP has been steadily rocking hers the past few weeks...

And while I do love my J.Crew Farmer's Market Tote, I can't help but crave this baby. The beautifully woven design is lightweight and has an adjustable leather strap and tassel detailing.  It has a certain city sophistication that I'm flipping over. The ultimate summer tote perhaps?  I think yes.

The Syracuse & Panama versions are also available offering a wider range of color and patterns  Not too shabby in my opinion either.

Any strike your fancy?  Quite a few strike mine, most particularly Ms. OPs, so I guess it's good that there's a wait list... :)

Enjoy the day loves and happy almost Friday!

xoxo

I Love A Party!

I'm sure you guys are well aware of the fabulous limited-edition Coach bags designed by four oh so stylish fashion bloggers. I seen many a picture but tonight I get to see them in the flesh! I'm so excited to be heading on over to the Coach Blogger Bag Launch party tonight on Madison Ave in NYC. All of the girls will be there to present their bags and I can't wait to meet them and see their creations. Another bonus about tonight is that I'm going to the party with one of my favorite blogging buddies, Ms. Chic 'n Cheap Living who's back in NYC for a visit. So excited to get to see her again!

So onto the fabulous bags these ladies created. I can't wait to get see them in person, and I'm just loving getting to look at the inspiration boards each one created for their bags.

Krystal Simpson of What Is Reality Anyway created a totally cool, downtown, boho-chic fringey shoulder bag. I'm loving this one. This is definitely not your ordinary Coach bag.

Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere went in the complete opposite direction and designed a pretty, girly, ultra-femme soft pink satchel.

The Glamourai'sKelly Framel designed an embossed leather faux croc drawstring pouch. So cool and I'm loving the color.

And lastly, Karla Deras of Karla's Closet came up with this awesome oversized clutch with detachable strap. I absolutely adore this one and might have a hard time walking away from it tonight! :)

So which one of these bags strike your fancy?

I forgot to bring my camera with me but I'll try my best to recap without it tomorrow. Hope you're all having a fabulous week! xoxo

Luxe Landing

Givenchy Nightingale on Wheels

I'm a bag checker. I have far too many toilettries to ever carry on my bag. Even for a weekend trip. I know it's bad. I waste a lot of time and money with bag checking but I don't care. A girl has her needs and I'm not willing to give some things up. However I might be willing to carry on if this was my bag :)

Thanks Santa!

Clutch Update

Yeah! I landed a clutch for the ball! That was quick, right? :)

I'm lucky enough to work around the block from the W Hotel on Lexington Ave in NYC so I decided to run on over there during lunch to check things out. I just love The W Store. It's a great place to find the perfect gift & accesorries.

I lucked out and scored the Moyna beaded flap purse in silver. It matches my shoes exactly. The picture doesn't really show how great the match is but trust me, it's really amazing! I nearly fell over when I walked through the door and found it. What do you guys think?

Fancy FĂȘtes

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

We were jammed pact as usual but we had a good one. I thought things were supposed to slow down after the wedding but that just doesn't seem to be the case for us. So many parties and so little time!

First came a wedding. This past Saturday we went to my cousin Karen's wedding on Long Island. What a great time! My cousin looked gorgeous and was glowing the entire night. And it was really great to have another wedding to go to so soon after ours. This time we just had to show up & have fun. Plus it was nice because we got to catch up with a bunch of family members that we didn't get to spend that much time with on our wedding day. Good times, good times.

And the fun doesn't stop there. This coming Thursday I'm lucky enough to be attending the 25th Annual DreamBall at the Waldorf Astoria. I'm super excited because not only is this a huge beauty industry event that I've been dying to go to for years, but this year the ball is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the Look Good…Feel Better® Program, a wonderful program created to help individuals with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem and manage their treatment and recovery with greater confidence. I've been a supporter of the program for years, but this year it's even more special to me after watching my best friend succumb to breast cancer this past April.

Like I said, I'm beyond excited about it so I totally jumped at the opportunity to go. No way was I turning this invite down! I did have one problem to deal with though. It's a black tie event so of course I didn't have anything to wear. I have a lot of cocktail dresses and some old gowns that I wore many years ago but nothing that would work now. J jokingly (I hope) suggested that I dye my wedding gown black, but since that would never ever happen, I ended up hitting the shops yesterday to find the perfect dress.

A simple enough task, right? Go to a store and find a dress. Unfortunately that wasn't the case for me. I thought it was gonna be easy. The first dress I tried on was gorgeous and almost perfect...only problem was that it was too big. I wasn't really discouraged though. I had about 10 other dresses in the room to try on. One of them would have to work.

But like I said, that wasn't the case for me. 5 stores 25 dresses and about 3 hours later I was still outta luck. By then I was totally exhausted and irritated and ready to throw in the towel and bail on the ball. Luckily my savior J found one that ended up being the winner. Et voila!

What do you guys think? I wasn't too sure about the color at first. I think it was just my negativity boiling over though because once I tried it on, we knew it was the one. I'm going to wear my wedding shoes again. Loving that I get another opportunity to wear them! I wore them to my cousin's wedding too. I can't get enough of them :)

Now I'm on the desperate search for a clutch. I would love to get the Jimmy ones that match my shoes but there's no way that I'm spending a grand on a clutch. I think I'd be divorced within the next two weeks!

So I guess I need an alternative. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Dilemma No. 452 -To Bag Or Not To Bag

My latest thing I've been obsessing over is whether or not to carry a bag on the big day. Do brides really use/need one? I'm definitely going to want to have my lipgloss and a few other things with me but I remember last year at my sisters wedding I used a clutch but I never really had it with me.

I found this amazing chiffon and organza rosette one from Mary Norton. It's to die for! And she also has coordinating shoes! They're just swoon worthy, right?!

Ok but I'm definitely not switching the shoes. I'm moving forward and sticking with my original choice. So back to the topic. What do you guys think? Should I bag it or not?

Zip Me Up

3.1 Philip Lim

Versace

The spring-like weather today has awaken my oh so very dormant shopping bug. My number one must-have this spring is something with wavy layers of exposed zipper. Designers have been doing some really interesting things with zippers this season. And I just love how it's been worked in both soft & feminine or edgy punk ways. I'm not sure if I want a skirt or a shirt or a bag or maybe just a cool bracelet but I'm definitely going to be hitting up the shops soon.
