Wednesday Wishes - A Fabulous Fall Day

Happy Wednesday, lovelies! Hope you're all enjoying the short week. For some reason already it feels like a long one even though this is only my second day of work. Hmmm, funny how the end of summer can do that to a person...

I'm kind of having the in between seasons quandary. Waving goodbye to summer but not quite ready to say hello to fall since it's still quite warm here. How is one to dress during this time? And to be honest I'm kind of sick of all of my summer clothes at this point.

I think I'm just ready to fast forward to some gorgeous crisp & slightly brisk fall days where I can throw on something fabulous and very FALL-like and head on out for a little stroll. Bring it on! {I'm sure I'll regret this request in a few weeks :)}

So how bout you all. What are you wishing for today? And any tips for dressing during the transition of the seasons?

Wednesday Wishes - Filippa K Fall 2010

Happy September, darlings! Hope that you're all having a wonderful week. It's quite the lovely one here in NY. The city is relatively empty {for the city, that is...} since so many people took vacation with the upcoming holiday weekend around the corner and we're experiencing some gorgeous summery weather. Makes me hopeful that we'll enjoy an extended summer season way into October! Wishful thinking, I know :)

But if that doesn't happen at least there's fall fashion to look forward to. On a recent shopping trip I discovered the lovely label Filippa K and instantly fell head over heels in love. Now this is a brand for me! I love every single thing about it. Classic cuts in gorgeous fabrics with a little bit of an edge. Seriously if this was the only brand in my wardrobe I would be a very happy girl. I wish I could own every single piece of the Fall 2010 collection!

Wednesday Wishes - Back at the Beach

Happy Wednesday, lovelies! Hope you're all having a wonderful week so far. I know the week is halfway done but I'm still playing catch up after vacation. I'm doing my best but I'm still not up to full speed. Little by little and before I know it the weekend will be here and things should be back to normal.

No big surprise for my Wednesday Wish this week I can't help but wish to be back at the beach enjoying long, carefree, blissful filled days. What is your wish this Wednesday?

Wednesday Wishes - Warm Lazy Days

Happy midweek darlings! Don't know about you but I'm having a hard time getting into the swing of things this week. My routine is very off and I have a ton of work to do between my actual job and then getting ready for vacation on Friday. My to-do list just keeps on growing and growing. But all I really want to do today is lay around and have a lazy day laying around in the sun.

Wednesday Wishes - Chanel HC Bracelet

How come so many things on my lust list always happen to be from Chanel? Silly question, right? :)

I've been swooning over these bracelets since I first saw them on the FW 2010/2011 Haute Couture runway. There so pretty I don't even know which one to choose. Maybe I'll just have to settle on two and wear them on each wrist like the girls did in the show. What do you think? Great idea, no?

Just another day in paradise....

The private Fairmont beach is just spectacular!

We loved the rock formations off of the beach. We often swam out to it and it was a great place to scope out some pretty cool fish.

Not a bad way to spend the 4th!

The property is sprawling so the Fairmont offers free trolley service to the private beach and some of the restaurants not attached to the main hotel

I just love that magical time of the day when the sun begins to set and everyone leaves the beach. Now that's paradise!

Happy Wednesday, lovelies. Can't believe it's been a week since I've been back from vacation already. My mind is still there...walking along the smooth pinkish tinged sand, frolicking around in the crystal clear turquoise water, and watching the gorgeous sunsets, one of my only "tasks" of the day, just feeling completely and utterly chillaxed. Can you really blame me?

We stayed at the Fairmont Southampton, a wonderful resort set atop a hillside that looks upon the gorgeous aquamarine sea. The views were really spectacular. The landscape is beautiful, set between the South Shore beaches and the Great Harbor, with a pristine golf course in between. There's a luxury spa, The Willow Stream, to take care of all of your pampering needs and the dining choices at the hotel and in the area are outstanding. We ate at the majority of the resort restaurants. They were all amazing but our favorite was the Waterlot Inn, one of the best steakhouses I've ever dined at.

It was a truly amazing vacation. It's so close to NYC, the flight is only an hour and 1/2! I knew it was a short trip but not THAT short. The beaches are breathtaking and the dining was outstanding. It's like a little piece of paradise in my backyard and I'll definitely be going back the next chance I get.

So in honor of my Wednesday Wishes series, today I am really wishing I was back there right now :)
