Rise & Shine!

Good morning, sweets!  And happy Monday!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I'm getting back to reality after a fabulous weekend at the beach house.  The weather was just amazing!  A total beach weekend and I have a tan to prove it! And I'm so happy that I have a summer full of fun to look forward to on Fire Island. 

But like I said, it's back to reality and the work week.  Think I'm going to pick up some fresh flowers on the way to work to make the week brighter.  They certainly did the trick last week.

Back to the Beach House!

Happy Friday, lovelies!  And welcome to the weekend!

I know I've been talking about this for what seems like forever now, but the time has finally come for us to return to the beach house. Can't wait to get back to the island and take it all in.  I'm so ready to kick the summer off.  And the weather is supposed to be beautiful so it looks like it might be the right time to do it.

Before I head out I'd like to wish all of you moms out there who are celebrating this weekend a happy Mother's Day!

Not Quite Fall Weekend

Happy Friday, lovelies! And welcome to the weekend! I know everyone in the northern hemisphere, including myself, is in a fall state of mind but technically it's still summer and I still have the beach house so we'll be heading out there for the weekend.

And wouldn't you know it, the temperature just dropped to fall temps yesterday so it's going to be a rather brisk weekend at the beach. I'm packing all of my sweaters and my cashmere hoodie because it sounds like I'm going to need it.

Should be fun though. I've always dreamed of being one of those people all layered up, frolicking on the beach. Reminds me of something you'd see in the movies. Yeah, I think I watched too much of Grease back in the day. You know that opening scene while Danny & Sandy are saying goodbye on the beach.

And I just watched the movie Something Borrowed a few weeks ago and there was a great scene like that as well. Now it's my chance to try to recreate it :)

Labor Day

Hope you're all having a wonderful Labor Day. My summer vacation is winding down today and I've had an amazing time. Sorry I've been MIA the past week or so. I'll be back tomorrow in full force.

Forward Thinking

Happy mid-week, lovelies! Hope you're all enjoying the week so far. We're having a great time here at the beach house. Such a great time, in fact, that we've decided to rent it again next summer!

The summer may be coming to an end but I'm so happy that I have next summer to look forward to :)

Beach Bound...Finally!

Good morning, sweets. Today we're finally gearing up to head on out to Fire Island to start our summer vacation. There's minimal ferry service but at least a few are running and we hear that power's back. We're not 100% sure what we're walking into but we're hoping for the best. Finger's crossed that there's minimal damage to the house and that we're able to finally get this party started!

Storm Watching

Happy Friday, loves! And welcome to the weekend. Well it's just about time for vacation for me.

Unfortunately our plans have gotten a little derailed because of the hurricane that's supposed to hit this weekend. Instead of heading out to the beach house, we're going to stay in the city until the storm passes. It'll be too dangerous to be on a barrier island during the storm.

But the good thing is that I am off all next week. Hopefully there isn't too much damage from the storm and we can head on out to Fire Island on Monday. Finger's crossed we still have power and there isn't flooding!

Monday Morning

Good morning, lovelies! Welcome to a brand new week! How was your weekend? Mine was fabulous. Another long weekend at the beach followed by a great concert last night. Couldn't have asked for a better summer weekend.

Now it's back to the work week and a few long weeks without the beach house. We don't go back again until August 26th so I think these next few weeks may drag. Might as well start it on the right foot. A leisurely morning followed by a cup a coffee should do the trick :)

Wonderful Weekend

Soaking Up The Summer

Back To Bliss
