Ready to Rise

Happy Monday! Can't believe it's that time already. The weekend seemed to fly by. Had a great one though. The weather was gorgeous and I spent a lot of time outdoors by the water with friends down in Battery Park City. I have never spent much time down there even though I've lived in this city for 20 years. It's just gorgeous and I even felt like I was on vacation. It's so great to discover new areas and feel like you're on vacay when you haven't even left where you live.

In between all the fun I even managed to squeeze in the closet turnover. It was a ton of work and I'm even a bit sore today but I'm so happy that it's over. My closet suddenly has a ton of room and is so much brighter and airier. I feel even lighter already :)

Finally Friday!

Happy Friday lovelies! So here we are at the end of another week. Overall it was a pretty good one for me. No complaints here :) Plus it's going to be a gorgeous weekend so I'm planning on spending as much time as possible outside soaking up the springtime sun.

Unfortunately, I do have to find some time to do the seasonal closet switchover. I've put it off as long as possible. Can you say major procrastinator??? I even bought a bunch of clothes today to try to postpone it even longer! But I give in, the time has finally come to put those heavy chunky sweaters away and slip into spring. I know I'll be happy when it's over!

Easy Breezy

Happy Tuesday! I'm so in need of the winter to spring closet turnover. Originally I had it planned for this past weekend but with my friend in the hospital plans ended up getting changed. Oh well, c'est la vie!

I'm so longing to wear soft pastels and lightweight fabrics. If all goes well. pehaps this weekend.... :)

Tiddy Tights

I don't know about you guys, but this time of the year my closet is seriously out of control with tights scattered absolutely everywhere. They're hanging from my door organizer, covering my closet floor or rolled up in balls in a shopping bag. Not a good system at all. Needless to say it takes quite a while to get ready in the mornings....

The good news is I have finally found a solution to my problem. Check out this great idea that What I Wore came up with. Can you say brilliant??? It's simple, cheap and looks pretty too. Just loving it!

So what do you guys think? Oh and I'd love to hear any other closet organization tips you might have. I'm always in need of help in that area :)

Season's Cleanings

Happy Saturday everyone. It's a gloomy day in NY today and my girl is working all day so it seems like the perfect time to take on the much dreaded seasonal closet switchover. I don't know why I dread it so much. Maybe it's because I always feel guilty when I discover how many unworn clothes I have with tags still attached. Or maybe it's because I never feel like having to try on the enormous pile of clothes to see if they still fit or if they're still relevant. Or maybe it's because it always takes the ENTIRE day! Nevertheless, I always end up feeling good and almost giddy at the end of the process when I feast my eyes upon super neat, ever so organized, quite possibly even minimilistic looking closet. Me a minimilist? Could it ever be??? And every single time I always vow to myself that I'm going to keep it that way forever. Now let's see how long it lasts this time. Wish me luck!
