I Thee Swoon!

nullnullnull

Good morning, loves! Today I wanted to share with you some news that I am very excited about. My dear friend Tamra Sanford, some of you may know her as the fabulous woman behind the blog Walks with Bella, is officially launching her planning and event company Ever Swoon!

Photobucket

Passionate Planning. Extraordinary Experiences. Life Celebrated.

I have to tell you this girl is living my dream. A few years ago while planning my wedding I had a little dream/fantasy about leaving the beauty industry to create my own event company. Never happened for me but this amazing lady has done just that! She doesn't mind that I'm living vicariously through her. :)

Here's a little info about the company:

Our commitment is to produce a fabulous fete that is the toast of the town and culminates with you and your guests wishing the feeling of the day would never end.

We take the time to “dig” for the personality, flavor, and feeling behind the total experience you want to create which means taking into consideration all of the emotions and senses surrounding the details of the event.

We offer the following levels of services:

Full Service
Partial / a la carte
Month Coordination (aka Day of)
Hourly Consulting (in-person and/or virtual)

For these celebrations and events:

Weddings
Styling
Marriage Proposals
Private/Non-profit/Corporate

In a big city with big competition, we offer small town charm and service so Tamra, attends all personal meetings and is the main event planner at all events.

Over the past year I've had the great pleasure of getting to know Tamra outside of the blogging world and ended up gaining a new friend. Funny thing is we actually had quite a bit in common, both having worked in the beauty industry and share many connections, and we both share a love of fashion and beauty and NYC living. And I have to tell you besides being gorgeous inside and out and having such incredible style, she is an absolute sweetheart.

She planned every single fabulous detail of her wedding, this girl's got vision!, and I know she will bring such happiness and joy to any event that she plans. Oh and did you see that she'll even plan marriage proposals? How awesome is that?

I hope you will all stop by Ever Swoon today to show Tamra some love and to check out her fabulous new endeavor. You can also find her on twitter and send her thoughts/congrats using the hashtag #dancetildawn. She's even using my name to celebrate! :)

xoxo

Honey My Heart Etsy Shop

I wanted to share with you the work of the lovely and oh so talented and work of Honey My Heart, one of my oldest blogging friends. This girl is seriously one of the most creative, craftiest people I know. She never ceases the amaze me. She's always whipping out some fabulous creation, whether it be designing jewelry, making cards, or even making cupcake wrappers. She even DIY'd a huge part of her gorgeous Santa Barbara wedding! It was really something to see. If you aren't familiar with her, I strongly urge you to head on over to her site to see for yourselves.

And she FINALLY, I say finally because ever since I met her I thought that this was something she needed to do, opened up an Etsy shop not too long ago where she's selling some fabulous cards and jewelry - rings, earrings and necklaces. I just love it all. I even have a necklace of hers that I get compliments on all of the time. My sister even tried to steal it from me :)

Lets learn a little more about the oh so talented Honey My Heart.

Who is Honey My Heart?
I am a fan of diy who believes everything is better when made with love.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your work. How did it all start?
My crafting began in childhood with hand drawn cards and bead kits. Later I moved on to scrapbook style greeting cards. I love all things paper :) When my wedding around, I diy'd most every detail and knew I wanted to move from just making things as a hobby to creating pieces for individuals who love handmade. My cards were the start, and I moved on to jewelry as a way of giving each person a small gift with the card. Now, each piece is able to stand on it's own in my etsy shop. And whether they are together or separate, each is a piece from my heart.

Who or what inspires you?
Sunny days, fresh flowers, crashing waves, vistas, happy faces.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love the freedom to personalize a necklace, add the colors & textures that I like, and the creative outlet it provides.

So be sure head on over and check out her Etsy shop. You should also follow Honey on Facebook, Twitter and of course her blog for updates on her latest creations. I'm sure you'll all love her as much as I do!

And don't forget to enter the Shopbop Giveaway to win a $100 gift card. Remember you can tweet every day for extra entries.
Good luck!

Home Sweet Home

Good morning, lovelies!  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  I'm back after a wonderful weekend in Atlanta.  Got in really late last night because there was poor weather in Atlanta so I'm off to a slow start today.

I did have the most amazing time meeting the wonderful Shari from Little Blue Deer.  If you think she's lovely from her blog, believe me she's ever more amazing in person!  Had the best time with her and I hope we get to visit again soon.

What did you all do this weekend?

Have a wonderful morning and I'll be back later on with more from the trip! xoxo

Sweet Sophisticate & Happy Things

Morning, lovelies! Oh how wonderful would it be to wake up every morning to this beautiful slice of heaven? I imagine my closet would contain all beautiful flowing pieces in gorgeous shades of barely there. A far cry from the New Yorker in me but I like to dream :)

Oh and yesterday I was so happy to find out that I won Diana's wonderful contest! The Sima Original Golden Bar Necklace! I'm so thrilled. I really really really wanted to win it. The clean simple lines just speak to me and I've been dreaming about it since I entered the contest. Thank you so much, Diana dear. I will wear it very happily!

And also I received a few awards the past few weeks. The One Lovely Blog Award from Bella Gets Real and The Versatile Blogger Award from The October Issue. Thank you so much ladies for these awards! I'll be doing a larger post in the near future to fulfill the rules and to pass them on but I just wanted to send you a huge thanks in the meantime :) xoxo

Hope you all have the most wonderful day!

Beach Dreams

Happy Friday, lovelies! So happy it's finally the end of the week. Now normally on a weekend like this one, it's going to be hoootttt!, I would be headed straight for the beach but instead I have to head on upstate for a christening so I'm going to miss out on that action. Family obligations, you know how they go...I'm hoping to try to squeeze in a little fun at some point.

What are you all up to this weekend? Any fun plans?

Oh and some fun stuff, the fabulous Honey My Heart informed me yesterday that there's a photo of me up on the Glamourai's blog from the Coach event this past Tuesday. Not the best picture of me, but it's still a fun little treat. Kelly has an awesome recap so you should definitely check it out :)

I Love A Party!

I'm sure you guys are well aware of the fabulous limited-edition Coach bags designed by four oh so stylish fashion bloggers. I seen many a picture but tonight I get to see them in the flesh! I'm so excited to be heading on over to the Coach Blogger Bag Launch party tonight on Madison Ave in NYC. All of the girls will be there to present their bags and I can't wait to meet them and see their creations. Another bonus about tonight is that I'm going to the party with one of my favorite blogging buddies, Ms. Chic 'n Cheap Living who's back in NYC for a visit. So excited to get to see her again!

So onto the fabulous bags these ladies created. I can't wait to get see them in person, and I'm just loving getting to look at the inspiration boards each one created for their bags.

Krystal Simpson of What Is Reality Anyway created a totally cool, downtown, boho-chic fringey shoulder bag. I'm loving this one. This is definitely not your ordinary Coach bag.

Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere went in the complete opposite direction and designed a pretty, girly, ultra-femme soft pink satchel.

The Glamourai'sKelly Framel designed an embossed leather faux croc drawstring pouch. So cool and I'm loving the color.

And lastly, Karla Deras of Karla's Closet came up with this awesome oversized clutch with detachable strap. I absolutely adore this one and might have a hard time walking away from it tonight! :)

So which one of these bags strike your fancy?

I forgot to bring my camera with me but I'll try my best to recap without it tomorrow. Hope you're all having a fabulous week! xoxo

Happy {Award Filled} Friday!

Happy Friday lovelies! It's that fabulous time of week that I get to wake up and fast forward to fun thoughts of the weekend. I'm planning on having some down time on Saturday. Not quite sure what I'll do yet but it will most likely including some strolls outside and dining al fresco since it's going to be nice out again. And Sunday we'll be visiting the various important mothers in our lives.

So to start the the weekend off right I wanted to pass on a little blog love. Firstly, I want to send my heartfelt gratitude out to the amazing bloggers who passed the awards onto me. It means so much to get these awards. To hear that people actually think my blog deserves an award really blows my mind. Thank you all so much for visiting and reading and commenting here every day. It really fills my heart with such joy :)

Thank you so much, Ms. Hark @ Not Just Another Blonde in Beijing for the Happy 101 Award! I'm a pretty happy person in general and this makes me all the more happy :) You're the best sweetie! Definitely check her out if you haven't already. She a ton of fun, gorgeous, happy, has great fashion sense and is just about to move on over to Beijing. Can't wait to follow along as she heads out on her exciting adventure.

I also wanted to thank Mixed Matched Media for the You're Going Places Award. She's really fab and if you haven't already, I highly suggest that you run right over and check out her blog. She's a beyond talented illustrator and photographer and you're all gonna love her work!

Also a big merci to Punctuation Mark for passing on the You're Going Places Award as well as the Sunshine Award. Two in one! I'm so lucky! :) Punctuation Mark is an Interior Designer living in Miami. Her blog is chock full of her work, her travels and her exciting experiences. Gotta check her out as well!

Thank you so much Lazaro of Lazaro Cooks for the Beautiful Blogger Award! Also he asked me to play the 6th Photo game. Now if you people love delicious food I strongly advise you all to head to to his blog. All I can say is YUM! He has me drooling every day with his delicious recipes. I'm hungry now just thinking of them :P

And lastly thank you so much to one of my newest blogging buddies Tamara Nicole @ Memory Bean Designs for the Stylish Blogger Award! I'm so flattered that you think I'm stylish! :) Check her out, she's awesome.

OK so now I get to pass these babies on. Let's start with the rules.

Happy 101 Award & The Sunshine Award - they have the same rules so I'm going to combine this one.
1. Put the logo on your blog.
2. Pass the award on to 12 bloggers.
3. Link to the nominees within your post.
4. Let them know they received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and the link to the person from whom you received this award.

I pass this onto the award of your choice...Happy 101 or Sunshine to:

You're Going Places Baby Award
1. Link back to the blogger who sent you this award
2. Post where you would like to be in 10 years
3. Pass it on to 10 other special bloggers!

I did this one once before so here's my answer for the where I'd like to be in 10 years part. And now I'd like to pass this on to the following well deserving blogs:

Beautiful Blogger Award
1. Thank the person who nominated you for the award.
2. Copy the award & place it on your blog.
3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
4. Tell us 7 interesting things about yourself.
5. Nominate 7 bloggers.
7. Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.

I also did this one once before so here's my 7 interesting things.

And here are the 7 bloggers I nominate:

And lastly the Stylish Blogger Award
State 5 random facts about yourself and award 5 other bloggers.

Here are 5 random, they may not be that interesting but they are in fact random, facts :)
  • I've lived in NY state my entire life, NYC in particular, for the past 20 years.
  • I recently, within the past few years, discovered an appreciation for Sushi.
  • My email is flooded with countless google alerts every day for all types of random people including Olivia Palermo, Sean Avery, Yasmin le Bon and Sienna Miller.
  • I have probably close to 50 different scarves and I usually wear one every day.
  • Even though I love to be pampered I prefer to do my own manicures because they turn out better and last much longer than when I get them done at a salon.

And here are 5 fabulously fashionable bloggers that I'd like to pass this onto:

And last by not least, the 6th photo I ever posted to my blog was:

Now that was interesting.... I invite all of you to join in this game :)

Hope you all have an amazing weekend! xoxo
