Runway Recap - Vena Cava

Vena Cava designers Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock were inspired for their fall 2010 collection by a long weekend they spent in Woodstock last fall. According to program notes, the collection was designed to feel like clothes a woman would wear to her "upstate cabin: minimal, classic American; 70's tinged and muted" but I think the clothes looked more urban gaucho than upstate. Either way I think the collection was fabulous. Some of my favorite elements:

Fur Stole (I'd like a faux version)

Copper trim

Loving the whole look - hat, stole, skirt, legs, booties

I have no words!

Fab cocktail dress #1

Fab cocktail dress #2

Maxi print & necklace

And I also love the pink flash in the hair. That mixed with the red-orange lip is very Abby-Lee.
