Danger! Curves Ahead!

I adored every little single thing about the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter '10 collection Marc Jacob's put on in Paris yesterday. It was pure Parisian sexy chic circa 1950s & early 60s through and through reminiscent of the days of Bardot. He sent curvier models down the runway including Laetitia Casta, Bar Refaeli, Rose Huntington Whiteley, Catherine McNeil, Karolina Kurkova, and Elle Macpherson.

Now these girls aren't real women curvy but they certainly look it on the runway compared to what we're used to seeing. We saw it first this season at Prada and now at LV. To enhance the whole bigger is better theme, Marc dressed the ladies in corsets that pushed breasts up and out and full skirts that accentuated the hips. In some instances it was a little much and borderlined on dowdy but overall I can't help but love him for it and love how designers are starting to embrace curves. I certainly hope this is a trend that continues.

Love, love the clothes. Funny how this is considered 'curvy' in the modeling world but it's so refreshing to see models who are yearning for a burger.

These dresses are very chic. I especially like the 3rd dress. It looks like it could stand up to the cold, but still be sexy. Love it!

I adore the 50s and 60s fashion. Love a girl with curves too - hot!

I think the clothes are very beautiful and do agree that the curves don't make the clothes ugly, but nice. I guess sometimes different clothes can look good on different people.

That's awesome. I agree, it seems to me these (still very trim and gorgeous) women highlight the clothes much more than some skeletal models.

I love Leticia Casta, and it seems we haven't seen her in a few years, so glad to hear of her again. I couldn't possibly choose between all these amazing dresses!

I love the 50s-ish feminine silhouettes for day. And what glam gowns for evening!

Laetitia was always one of my fave models.

i'm not sure actually, that I really like the colection, but, no doubts, i like the concept that curvy woman play the main role in the catwalk along with supermodels like opener Laetitia Casta and Macpherson
