Fun-Filled Week {& Some Greek Goodness}

Hi lovelies! So thrilled that it's finally Thursday. This week has been filled with a lot of festivities between my birthday on Tuesday and yesterday was my baby sister's 21st birthday. And she decided to come into the city to celebrate and to have her first legal drink with her big sister. Too cute for words. It was such a treat that she chose to celebrate her day with me. Mind you, I'm pretending that the reason she came into NYC was to see me rather than the excitement of celebrating in the city. Suuuure, I'll keep telling myself that :)

Anyway, I know that I promised to share my bday with you all. I won't go into all the details but overall it was a fabulous day. The exciting news is that I got a Nikon D5000! And I also got a private lesson with a photographer to learn how to actually use the camera, get familiar with it and such and he'll also take me around the city so I can practice taking shots. Pretty cool gift, right? I certainly am a lucky girl. And hopefully things will start looking all the prettier around here once I start to get familiar with using it.

Ok so now onto the photos that I posted here today. Those of you who have been following along might already know about my love of Greece and all things Greek {I am part Greek, after all so it's kinda in me :)} I came across these gorgeous photos from Marie Claire Turkey this month that were shot in the Greek island of Symi. Aren't these gorgeous? Makes me wish I headed there on my August vacation like I did a few years ago. It's such a magical country to visit.

Hope you all have a fabulous Thursday! And good news, we're almost at the weekend :)

What a fantastic birthday gift! The camera alone would have been great but the private lesson is just wow and makes it extra special! I love thoughtful gifts like that. Glad you had such a great birthday! And how cute that you bought your sister her first legal drink! I do think 21 is a bit late, why not 18 like in most other places? oh well never mind! And oh thank you for sharing your story with me (what happened to you was worse!) and for your really supportive comment, I was and still am pretty upset about what happened to my car but hearing from you and all the others was just amazing. Thank you!

Gorgeous photo shoot. I've never actually been to Greece - merely Cyprus, but I really want to visit soon!

Congratulations to your camera, Dawn! I'm a Nikon girl, too, and the camera has changed my life (well I'm not holding back on my photo experiments, am I?) I'm sure you'll love taking pictures and I'm very much looking forward to your posting whatever inspires you. xoxo
