Why Don't You...
Act like a tourist in your own city? Those are some of my most favorite days. The days that you just leisurely stroll the streets with camera in hand, popping in and out of little boutiques and dining al fresco in a quaint cafe without a care in the world. Sometimes it's just so wonderful to step back and look at your home through a tourist's eyes. Do you ever take the time to do that?
Oh and be sure to stop by later today because, good news, it's giveaway time! Have a wonderful morning and I hope to see you all later :) xoxo

haha, i still feel a little like a tourist in my city :)
Seriously, I live in the bay area, and there really isn't a better place to be a tourist in your own city than in San Francisco. Whenever I have friends or family in town and I tote them around to see all the sights, I realize yet again how AMAZING my city is, and how I don't take advantage of it nearly enough! It's true that we should all engage with our cities regularly . . . there's so much wonder all around!
I love the feeling and we try to do that from time to time:) Always feels great! Kisses, sweetie and enjoy your morning:)
See you soon:)
That's why I like having visitors... I finally get to see and do all the touristy things I normally wouldn't!
I DO act like a tourist in San Francisco, 'cause I carry my camera around! I always feel my heart swell when I look at the Golden Gate bridge too (very touristy spot too).
omg is she stunning or what?! i could so skin her and wear her like a coat!!! { i wouldn't really, but you get my meaning, it must be pretty fab to be her!!} hehe
jxx
Since I started photography again I always feel like a tourist in London, but I do enjoy it. If I could only look as fabulous as these girls...
Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday, Dawn! xo
Did I hear someone say Giveaway?? This one I'm definately going to win... ok, ok, I hope to win ;-)
As for the white blazer in the last pic... yup, I WANT it!!
Happy Tuesday Dearie! xo
Very nice one
I love being a tourist in my own city! I've been waiting on visiting some sites here so I can see them with our own visitors and be as wowed as they are!
That's exactly what we did on Saturday! We went to a town just 40min away and got camera happy and had such fun, just put my pics up today!
Love these pics you've chosen, wish my hair looked like that!:)
Ill defnitely do it when Im back!!
what a great idea and especially nice to do this in the summer when the weather is gorgeous and it's sunny out. Plus I really need to get better with my photography skills!
Dawn, I live in a great town and there is some really great historic buildings, a castle on a hill, all of these things I keep saying I am going to take pictures of. I think I might go do it today if I have time ~ thanks for reminding me about this ~ plus, it would make a great post!! xoxo
I love that first shot!!!! The whole outfit is awesome! Have a great day!

I love that idea. I've been trying to check out our local attractions this summer. It's weird how people seem to ignore all the cool things in their own cities, but travel thousands of miles to see others.
I am always doing that! I am a tourist to this planet I guess! Haha ... Always with a camera, always clicking. In fact sometimes we even go and stay at a down town hotel just to get away from the daily mundane life and life 'really' like a tourist! :) Everyone shlould try it if they haven't already!
It's easy to play tourist in NYC. There are so many great cafes and museums to see.
Have a lovely day doll!
It is mu most favorite thing to do!!! LOVE YOUR BLOG!!!

Been planning on it... but, never really thought of approaching it that way! Dallas, here I come!
My own city? Mhhh, not so sure, although we might do a little bit of that next week when LP goes to stay with his grandparents for 5 days. But in YOUR city, anytime!!! :-)
I love acting like a tourist EVERYWHERE! What is better than pretending you are seeing everything for the first time? Can't wait for the giveaway!

I like roaming around and discovering new shops or cafes, but I don't take photos. Probably because I have trouble remembering my camera when I'm actually on vacation. lol
It's funny that you posted this, because that is just what I plan on doing this week! There is a crafts/antiques festival here, and I can't wait to go! And have a yummy lunch at a charming cafe.
I love the photos that you used with this post, Dawn! Perfect :)
MUAH! xoxo

I like to dress causal, strap my camera around and go around doing nothing but act like a tourist, taking pictures of everything.
It's always good to take a step back, relax, explore more and look at everything in a different way. :)
Gosh, i just love your photographs. Nowadays, i'm always taking pictures and i never leave home without my camera:-).
I couldn't agree more! I need a Staycation!
Great post/idea!

i love acting like a tourist in my own city and appreciating things we sometimes take for granted :)
Did this last summer and it was so much fun. I went to the underground city, farmers market and space needle in Seattle, WA.
Fun idea!
I've been in London 2 1/2 years and I still definitely act like a tourist! I love it :)
Yes, so often when you are showing people around, you see things yourself that you have not seen before.
The photos are lovely and what a nice City that is.

Haha. Cool idea I think. So that my friends could spot me and think I've lost my mind. But super cool! And the pictures are fabulous as always. I'm amazed at your blog, it's very lovely...
I love playing tourist. It's crazy how you can live somewhere and yet never really see it.
That first picture is adorable, love love it.

i LOVE doing this! i've lived in my city for two years now and still find new things to discover...and even revisting great places close to home with my camera lets me rediscover the beauty around me.
