{Guest Post} The Simply Luxurious Life "The Necessity of the Getaway"

Happy Tuesday, lovelies! Hope you're having a fabulous week so far. Today I wanted to share with you yet another wonderful guest post from one of my favorite fellow bloggers Shannon of The Simply Luxurious Life. I absolutely love heading on over to her blog every day. It's a constant source of inspiration for me whether it be about fashion, design & decor, lifestyle or cooking, Shannon always provides such a wealth of amazing advice, gorgeous images and bottom line is that I always leave there feeling happier than before I stopped by. What more could you ask for? Oh and she also has an amazing weekly newsletter that I anxiously await by my inbox for every Friday. I highly encourage you to all stop by and check her lovely place out. And while you're at it, be sure to sign up for her newsletter :) I'll now pass things onto Shannon.....

Everyone needs time to unwind, to slow down, and reduce the daily responsibilities similar to what Dawn is doing as she escapes for a delightful respite. But where does one find the time? And what is the benefit of practicing such an obscure concept in this day and age?

First of all, it is your making time for this opportunity to rejuvenate that allows it to happen because as many know, it doesn’t just land in your lap. But when this precious opportunity becomes a reality the benefits are astounding. I recently returned from a week away, and I must say that upon returning, I was more aware of the necessity because I immediately was filled with more zest, invigoration and an appreciation for where I am in my life.

The benefits truly are aplenty even if your idea of a vacation is go-go-go, at least you are doing as you please. At least you are following your passions, your curiosities, and ultimately that is what makes one’s life feel more satisfying, more fulfilling. By seeing new sights, changing up the schedule, learning more about a particular time in history, your perspective is broaden and your mind has more potential to be inspired, and therefore, you to create.

So if you haven’t taken some time off lately, try to find a handful of days in the near future to do so. It might just give you the clarity or appreciation you’ve been looking for.

Thank you Shannon for reminding us all to indulge in a little escape every now and again! xoxo

Love the nostalgic views you posted, it reminds us of the scent of past, a great escapade, very romantic. The best Contemporary Designs of the room is very awesome, with green walls, which is the latest trend of hue lately.
