I wanted to share with you the work of the lovely and oh so talented and work of Honey My Heart, one of my oldest blogging friends. This girl is seriously one of the most creative, craftiest people I know. She never ceases the amaze me. She's always whipping out some fabulous creation, whether it be designing jewelry, making cards, or even making cupcake wrappers. She even DIY'd a huge part of her gorgeous Santa Barbara wedding! It was really something to see. If you aren't familiar with her, I strongly urge you to head on over to her site to see for yourselves.
And she FINALLY, I say finally because ever since I met her I thought that this was something she needed to do, opened up an Etsy shop not too long ago where she's selling some fabulous cards and jewelry - rings, earrings and necklaces. I just love it all. I even have a necklace of hers that I get compliments on all of the time. My sister even tried to steal it from me :)
Lets learn a little more about the oh so talented Honey My Heart.
Who is Honey My Heart?
I am a fan of diy who believes everything is better when made with love.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your work. How did it all start?
My crafting began in childhood with hand drawn cards and bead kits. Later I moved on to scrapbook style greeting cards. I love all things paper :) When my wedding around, I diy'd most every detail and knew I wanted to move from just making things as a hobby to creating pieces for individuals who love handmade. My cards were the start, and I moved on to jewelry as a way of giving each person a small gift with the card. Now, each piece is able to stand on it's own in my etsy shop. And whether they are together or separate, each is a piece from my heart.
Who or what inspires you?
Sunny days, fresh flowers, crashing waves, vistas, happy faces.
What do you love most about what you do?
I love the freedom to personalize a necklace, add the colors & textures that I like, and the creative outlet it provides.
So be sure head on over and check out her Etsy shop. You should also follow Honey on Facebook, Twitter and of course her blog for updates on her latest creations. I'm sure you'll all love her as much as I do!I am a fan of diy who believes everything is better when made with love.
