Snowflakes Falling All Over Town

Good morning, lovelies! How was your holiday? I had a wonderful one spending Christmas Eve and morning hosting J's family and then seeing my family Christmas afternoon. Everyone was in such a joyous mood. We decorated cookies, sang Christmas carols and J & I even played Santa for the first time ever arranging all of the gifts around the tree for the Christmas morning unveiling. It was just perfect!

Sunday was a lazy day spent indoors avoiding the blizzard we are being hit with and also catching up on some much needed rest.

Today I'm planning on making my way outdoors to survey the snow covered scenario. It's the first major snowstorm of the season and I have to admit, I'm pretty excited about it.

How did you all spend the holiday? Hope Santa was good to you all! xoxo

Wow! Sounds like you had a wonderful, dreamy Christmas. For my family, it was very subdued, as my father is critically ill and hospitalized. The past few weeks have been crazy and hectic.

It's so good to be able to celebrate with loved ones. I am hoping that the New Year will bring that blessing to my family.

Enjoy the snow! New snow came down on us right before Christmas Eve--and the trees are *still* clinging to snow and ice. Against the blue sky that finally appeared, it's truly beautiful. If far too frigid! Stay safe! Christmas is best with snow and one's love!

Enjoy the snow! I used to love it when it snowed in nyc (when i lived there). It seemed to quiet the city a bit. Happy 2011!

i am LOVING this snow. We let Layla off the leash because the street is almost like a dog run - she can't get out and no one is in it :)

I wish we had snow :( DC was completely overlooked this snow storm and I have to say I'm NOT too happy about it!!! It's extremely windy here, patio furniture was flying off the deck last night!

Your Holiday weekend sounded a lot like mine...love the lazy next day!! But it's certainly hard to get back in the swing of things today... xoxo

Sounds great, Dawn! A white Christmas is so fun! I wish we got that in Cali, but I will take the rain. Dressing for winter is the best.

Beautiful pictures. It has been snowing here too. I spent the holiday with my family. It was very low key and nice. I've been extremely lazy since then.

Glad you had a lovely Christmas, I did too! And we've also had loads of snow which is mighty strange for my part of the UK!

I'm glad you had such a lovely Christmas, and being blasted by blizzard sounds somewhat lovely (and somewhat a pain too!)!! I got a few inches where I live, and it just makes everything look that much more magical! I hope you enjoy the snow!

It sounds like you had a fabulous Christmas. Ours was great too - lots of smiles and laughs shared with the family and seeing the kids faces on Xmas morning was the highlight of the weekend. I still haven't ventured out to survey the storm in Boston but it looks beautiful around the house.
