The Winter Blues

Happy Tuesday, lovelies. How are you all doing this week? For us here in the Northern Hemisphere it feels like winter will never end. And that kinda tends to make people a little blue. Everyone I speak to has admitted to having a bit of the winter blues this year. And I've heard it more than usual.

I admit I'm one of them. I mean it's not horrible...I'll get over it. It's just that time of year. And not to help matters, as I've said before, I've been staying indoors a lot. I mean nothing's better than not having anything to do on the weekend. Problem is I often start to get a little down on myself for being so lazy and for doing absolutely nothing but sit on the couch, watch tv and eat.

But I'm changing my attitude from here on in. I'm thinking it's really time to start indulging in that little luxury. I mean how often is it that you really get the time to do it? Warmer days will be here before I know it....it is February already...and my calender will fill up rather quickly. So for now I'm going to enjoy the idleness while I can.

Hope you all have a wonderful day! xoxo

These gorgeous images make the winter blues seem lovely. But I can't imagine being stuck in all that cold weather. Hopefully it lets up soon and you'll be out basking in the sunshine! Meanwhile, I'd probably watch every movie on Netflix and re-runs of the real housewives til my eyes fell out of my head. :)

Dawn, it's true... so many people seem down this winter.. much more than usual. I struggle with it every year... I actually have a funny story about it but it's too embarrassing to post! I'll share it with you sometime. I am going to put on a summer scent and a bright color today! xo

All beautiful but particularly love that beautiful last shot - just love the chair. I adore blue, especially that slightly dirty French blue that you feature here - an elegant versatile color!

This DOES seem like the longest, bluest winter ever because its been so long. But, I too feel like this is the perfect time to think about spring ahead of the game so that when it's here we've got some new clothes to greet it with and perhaps some ideas for summer entertaining ... that's what I think I'll do. Because we all know when it gets here, it flies! Have a wonderful week, sweet, in spite of the snowstorm!

I can completely understand why you have the winter blues - you guys are getting bombarded with Old Man Winter. However, your images immediately made me gawk. Gorgeous and enjoy your time to relax. :)
