Speaking of lightening up, I'm loving these barely there shades of nude and blush. I'm looking to make the switch not only in my wardrobe and accessories but in my home as well.
Right now my living room is primarily filled with dark woods and wines but I'm really considering making a major switch, something more along the lines of the living room above. Isn't it just dreamy? I'm a bit concerned with upkeep and such but there has to be a way to make it work, right?
Hope you're all having a great week!

I wish I could change something in my appartment... some years ago, we invested in expensive dark furniture which I almost hate right now.... good luck !! kisses and by the way, adore nude tones!!!

That living room is gorgeous. Go for it!
Love the living room... so pretty and chic!! xo
So lovely! Totally with you on this... I'm not a big interior design freak & keep our rooms in neutral colours because it's calming and clean and gives me space to think. Actually, it can't be light and white enough for me - even though I love colours and patterns in other houses. xoxo
Am busy styling a shoot where I have used a lot of nudes. they always lend such soft sophistication to every look, make-up or interiors...
I'm dreaming of "light" too. Lovely photos...
Oooh - how fun to totally change up a living room! Have fun :)
Love nude and blush! I'm actually writing a guest post now featuring nude and neutral colors for decor!

loving neutrals right now - with a touch of pink or other pastel colors!
Unfortunately I can't go with too much nude/ blush in the home because of my crazy pup who would most likely ruin the serenity (aka cleanliness) of it, but these images are making me wish I could!

A nude room sounds dreamy and relaxing, I think you would really like the change!
Blusy pink nudes are pretty much occupying all of my thoughts at the moment- just so feminine and pretty- gorgeous post.
Love that pink sweater...would be lovely for Spring...Im looking to get a new sweater...always wearing the same black one all winter! :) Hope you have a lovely day. Those tones would look great with dark woods.
Love these shades too. A light living room is a great idea, I've been thinking of just that: to change the wenge furniture to natural colored wood. The middle way is always the best, especially when it comes to decorating your home. Ada
Great minds think alike! When you mentioned redecorating, I first thought, "Oooh lovely" then "Oh dear, what about spills?"
Loved all the photos as always especially the last one with the scarf-tied purse.
OOOH I would love the dark wood with the barly there blush. YUM
So ethereal! You always pick the best photos :)
Such soft and pretty colors - i have a side that loves these pastel and nude shades. But my other side loves bright colors - i'm a gemini! Have a lovely day Dawn!
Oh how I've missed you! Love the color nude as well... wish I could wear it on my lips... but I just look a little too funny! xoxo
Love it! Post pics when your living room gets "highlights" :D XO, Kelly

That living room is natural and blush at it's best. Perfectly done! I think it's a great idea to try and translate that idea in your own home. Seeing your style I think it will work out just beautifully:)
the lounge is just beautiful...I could recline on the sofa for hours and dream......also think the scarf is beautiful - I want one of those!!! TK xx

totally agree. I just convinced my mom to buy all new cream-colored cabinets instead of dark wood.
that living room IS dreamy!
Beautiful! If you "go nude" in your home please share the photos - I am debating taking the plunge in my bedroom. It seems like it would be so incredibly peaceful and serene.

Lighter colours open up a room and make it look larger. It's why we went for light coloured furniture and furnishings.
Isn't it amazing how such ethereal colors can be so glamorous and luxe? Love this!
Perhaps it has something to do with early Spring? I am completely craving these colors... especially with a bit of rich orange—just a tad... hope you're having a great Wednesday, xo
I love these shades of nude and blush - so perfect for spring. Hope you are having a good week!
Much love,
B

i like dark woods better... but i also love that room!
Beautiful! They look so ethereal and feminine...
our room is all white now and a hint of light grey. I'm thinking of a large colourful Pollock print on the wall and we're done!

There is something so feminine and yet, mysterious about nude and blush. I love the Miu Miu handbag with the scarf tied on the handles - such a signature style idea. I hope your are well Dawn - Have a lovely Thursday and I hope spring decides to officially arrive on the East coast - we've had rain and then 20 degress - it can't make its mind up here either. :)
