Happy Halloween!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Happy Monday & Happy Halloween, loveys! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Despite an unheard of snowstorm on Saturday...yeah snow before Halloween in NYC? That never happens!...our Halloween party went off without a hitch. Well, the turnout was somewhat affected but for those of us that braved the weather and made it out, we had a fabulous time!

So what was I, you ask? Aubrey was right! I was The Devil Wears Prada. I know it's kind of 5 years ago but what can I say? I just happened to own the right accessories so it just worked out. And J was The Devil Wears Target which was pretty hysterical. A bunch of you guessed that I was going as Valentino from my hint. Wearing red and a lot of a certain Italian designer. Great guess!!! Sadly, I don't own any Valentino so now I'm determined to change that so I can pull that off next year ;)

If you're interested to see how it all came together, you can check out my Twitter where I shared some photos.

Did you all celebrate this weekend or are you celebrating this weekend? If so I'd love to hear who you went as.

Have a happy & safe day!

xoxo

Hi sweet Dawn! I know I couldn't believe that I heard snow in NY! Glad that you had a great time at the Halloween party and you guys looked delightful in your photo! I've given some HUGE Halloween parties in the past (taking all of guests from their cocktails at the party and boarding a bus that I had rented on a couple of the years ... one year, I put together a scavenger hunt in the city and we all went there on the bus with cameras that everyone was supposed to use to take pictures of things they'd find in the city via my clues and another year I had everone create a "monster" in the spooky "lab" I created in my garage and everyone brought their monster on the bus with a little camcorder and made a movie in the city with their monster that we all watched on a big screen when we arrived back at the house. It was hilarious watching "monsters" ordering Starbucks.) This year was more quiet at home for my hubbie and I ... cider mills, a cozy fire and scary movies ;) xoxo

I'm glad the snow didn't stop your celebrations! How funny are you and j in your respective halloween costumes! I love J's the devil wears target, that would be me too. I was a nurse, bc I had to take mfs to the ER on Saturday bc his throat was almost swollen shut from being so sick. Happy Halloween!

Oh I was not even thinking of the Devil Wears Prada--how clever! I'm glad your party was a success! I have a low level cold and am kind of rethinking my Halloween escapades right now...just so tired today I may have to have a quieter Halloween than I thought. Oh well. Hope your day is a spooktacular one Dawn!

Oooo very creative costume idea! Love the photos you chose, especially the one with deep purple and black. I love that color combo for Halloween, even more than the classic orange and black. Hope you have a great Halloween!
