Monday, Monday...

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Good morning, lovelies! Is it really Monday already? Please tell me that it's not and that I can crawl back into my comfy bed. Pretty please?

Feeling kinda lazy this morning after a wonderful weekend that seemed to fly by way too fast. I was down in Washington DC for while J was attending a conference. I had a fabulous time. DC is such a great town. I've been many times before but this time was better than I could have imagined.

We walked around like tourists on Saturday afternoon, snapping photos of all of the sites. It was so much fun to really stop and take it all in. We even stopped by The Smithsonian to see Julia Child's kitchen. So much fun.

After our long stroll we had an absolutely amazing meal at Zaytinya, a Turkish, Greek & Labanese restaurant. The food was out of this world. And we were able to eat vegan & gluten free so we didn't even have to break our new way of eating. I sooo wish that it was located here in NY. I might have to make another trip on down to DC in the very near future :)

Right after that delicious meal we walked across the street and caught a hockey game at the Verizon Center. Another hockey arena to check off of our list. J & I are huge hockey fans and our goal is to visit all of the NHL arenas in the US & Canada. So far we've hit 14 out of 30. We're almost half way there!

And then before I knew it, I was right back on a train on up to NYC. It all seemed to happen in a flash so you can understand me wishing for just one more day, right? Oh and to make matters worse, I left J on down in DC for the night because the conference lasts until today so my Sunday night sleep was even worse than usual.

Oh well, I always have my good friend "Joe" to rely on in times like these so I'll be ready to go in no time. Someone get me a latte quick! :)

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that your week gets off to a fabulous start!

xoxo

Dawn,
So fun to learn you're a hockey fan!! And, DC is one of my favorite cities, yet it's been way too long since I was there. My oldest son really wants to go to the Spy Museum!!

Easing back into the week usually takes a couple of lattes for me!!!

I am here indulging in my morning coffee (2nd or is it 3rd cup) as I read this Dawn, I can so relate. I sat and watched the boats go by on the bay on a foggy afternoon with a fun date yesterday afternoon and wish it were not Monday. So glad you had a great time and I am envious of you sticking to your diet!

What a fun weekend! Perhaps you should write that restaurant and tell them to open one up in ny! Julia Childs kitchen is in the Smithsonian?!? We didn't have time to check it out the last time we were there, there are so many tourist spots to get trapped in. Glad you had a great time. xo
