Keeping Calm

nullnullPhotobucket

Happy mid week, sweets! Hope you're all having a wonderful week and that you're all enjoying the holiday season.

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that this week is a particularly busy one chock full of many parties and other holiday festivities. Bur somehow between all of the planning, prepping and celebrating, this year I'm managing to keep a level head and calm nerves. I'm even managing to pull myself away from the madness and have been able to have a decent amount quiet time. It's truly miraculous this time of year. And it's most definitely a first for me. I'm not sure what's come over me, but I have to say I'm liking it! :)

Have you managed to steal away some quiet time this season or are you all caught up in the madness?

xoxo

no madness for me ... I refuse to partake in that in December. I love the Advent and I want it to be a calm and wonderful time ;-)

Not much free time unfortunately but I'm looking forward to plenty of that after Christmas when I go on vacation!x

I am not caught up in the madness whatsoever this year. The funny thing about facing divorce is how quickly you prioritize and realize what's truly important. I've learned it's definitely not the material side of Christmas!! So glad you are finding a few quiet moments to chill! xo

Hahaha, I feel you! Only quiet time I get is in the morning on the train to work when I read the morning paper and drink my only cup of coffee. xoxo

that sounds great, being able to slow down in the middle of everything! I have been able to do the same over here, being at my parents place in Sweden always means getting a little spoiled to ;)

Yup, this week is kinda mental, not sure how i'm going to do everything, get frocked up to all the events happening in Athens this week and deal with the early morning starts, eek!

Have a super fun rest of the week, then chill time!

Good for you! It's funny that no matter how busy I am during the week or weekend I always find time to invite a group of friends over for an awesome dinner. A weekend wouldn't be the same without it.

Glad you are able to get some quiet time amongst all the festivities! I didn't think I would be able to get some, but I am starting to get sick, so it looks like I will have to find away - which honestly, it will be nice to have a couple nights in!
Much love,
B

So do you decorate at all? Just no time/space/energy? Just curious...
And yes that song is amazing. I knew youd like it because we are kindred spirits!

you are getting quiet time?! give me your secret. i'm practically running on empty right now... not even the holidays: work, trying to close on a house, baby, life, ahhh! :)

So glad you're staying calm and enjoying everything! I think I'm going to start wrapping tonight so hopefully I can stay calm through that lol. Probably so, I always like wrapping :)

I've somewhat adopted your state of calm as well this year, and I have to say, it's really nice! I'm trying not to stress about the little things, and have even given up a little on going "all out". It's been so nice to just enjoy family and friends! Love your gorgeous posts as always, Dawn! xo

Good for you! A bit of relaxation makes the holidays much more enjoyable. My hubby and I are heading off the mountains this week to get away before the busy-ness of Christmas.

I'm as relaxed as ever... But my lovely mother has still managed to stress herself out - even though she's not hosting Christmas this year!
