Something about these stark white interiors that make me swoon. My current dwellings as well as my office are both decorated with darker woods and quite a bit of "stuff". I'm so in need of a major change and longing for a lighter look and feel.
Problem is J isn't on the exact same page as me so I have my work cut out for me. Maybe promising to love J forever will do the trick. I guess it's worth a shot :) Wish me luck!

i love white.. if i can make all my house completely white i'll do, but hubby is not agree and the baby needs colorful stuff :)

Good luck doll!! I love these and it appeals to me too!! I have loads to clean out!! I have some rooms with darker shades and some with lighter shades, it helps the mood. But, a good clear is always great! Hope you have a splendid day!! xx

I think Im going to totally re-design my entire house this year!!! I had my house built a few years ago, time for the builder paint to be history!!

I think it could work :) If not, start in rooms you use the least and work up to the main rooms. That's what I try. Easier to adjust that way lol.
I am feeling the same way. I'm in total need of a decor change. I'm thinking the next move is going to be a completely different style. I want it to represent who I am at this moment. xo

Maybe you have to let J 'feel' the ambiance fresh and cozy feeling of white, it can help for sure! Or else something im between that works for both of you... Good luck;) I'm so loving these white examples! It can actually be more challenging than working with color.

Ah MEEE too Dawn. My husband loves the look of dark dark wood and deep reds and I'm trying to convince him that lighter is better!

New follower! Grays, whites - so light and airy. I live in the Pacific Northwest (lots of dark rainy days). I'm always amazed at the amount of dark colors I see in homes. I need the white to brighten my day - BTW, I have a white leather couch and two medium sized dogs. Crazy! Yup! I have a large throw that the dogs sit on when they are on the couch (and a good leather cleaner!)

i hear that longing for white right now is called the spring itch. i would love a nice, clean white decor like that 3rd photo but i know my hubs and the dogs would mess it up. :)

I keep thinking white/cream for the main furniture pieces in my family room (once our reno is complete) but I know they'd have to be slipcovers with 2 boys and a dog!

I too adore the clean white interior!! I wonder how difficult to keep clean? I don't have any kids so that's not a worry but do plan to get pets again in the near future. But perhaps certain rooms I can incorporate more white than others. Just love the airy and fresh vibe -- I feel that my spirits would always be uplifted waking up to somewhere like this every day!
