Summer Secret

Good morning, loves!  The weekend's just around the corner and this weekend is the first weekend all summer that won't involve any beach time.  And you wanna know a secret?  I'm kinda happy about it.

If you've been reading this space even a little bit this summer you're probably pretty familiar with the fact that I'm a beach girl at heart.  Sun, sand and surf.  It really gets no better than that.  But there are other parts of the summer that I love to experience and this is the first summer in a long time that I haven't had a chance to take part in any of that.

So this weekend I'm making it a point to squeeze in a a summer stroll with J somewhere lush.  Maybe some gardens somewhere out on Long Island or maybe even some time in Central Park.  The sand and surf can wait till next weekend. :)

Have a wonderful day, sweets!

Sometimes "change" is a good choice, dear Dawn! I am also a beach girl, but we usually go to the mountains as my BF's mum has a house there. So, enjoy the gardens, parks weekend :*

i'd say wandering around NYC is a pretty amazing alternative to the beach -- sounds like a really lovely weekend :) xx

A little break from the beach to partake in some summer fun in the city sounds like a great idea :) Chicago in September would be great. Then you'll probably miss both the extreme heat and cold. Xoco is a must ;D

These pictures are so pretty. I can't wait until I can go outside without worrying about heat stroke. August and September are the worst months of the year where I live!

That sounds like a wonderful plan. The beach was on our plan but the weather report says it will rain so I think we have to come up with something else. Maybe shopping ;-)

PS. I laughed out loud when I read your second comment. Oh my, I used to be obsessed with Obsession, hahaha. And I remembered another one, Loulou by Cacharel. Did you have that one, the bottles were wonderfully blue.

I think it's a lovely idea to mix things up and enjoy the weather in a different way. I'm also hoping to really take advantage of the amazing weather this weekend.. outside time is a must. xo!

Can you please transport me into this post? I, too, am such a beach gal but a beautiful garden takes me back to my love of the Secret Garden and all its mysteries.

It's all about the balance, isn't it? I always imagine that NY must be beautiful in the summer - at least partly... like morning walks, the Central Park, going to the MoMa, having coffee in the street... xoxo

Great! So that means I can stay at your beach house! ;)

I wish my weekend would include a little more beach time, but the Norwegian summer isn't known for its great weather. So, I'll look at the mountains instead this weekend. Have a great one!
