Happy Thursday, loves! How is your week going? It's just about time to call it a weekend and I can't wait to get the long one ahead started. I need to relax though because I do still have one and a half more days of work ahead of me. Ah, I can dream though, right? :)

As I mentioned yesterday we're not heading to the beach this weekend so I'm thinking of alternate ideas. Loving the idea of a garden party and I'm also loving the idea of a little lake time.

I spent a lot of my childhood and early adult years at the lakeshore and I remember the time there fondly. It's been such a long time since I've been to one and I think that could be a lovely way to spend a day or two.

What about you all? Do you love lakes or are you more of a beach goer?

Enjoy the day, lovelies!
xoxo

Aah, laketime! Spent all my childhood summers on a beautiful lake in Austria, to which we often return now. Miss it right now! Have a splendid day sweetie! xx

I spent a lot of time at the lake as a child, I prefer the beach though. But, maybe it was the lake we went to that I didnt like. But, I do love the trees and nature around a lake as well, its always peaceful!! I wish I was there just now :) Have a beautiful day lovely xx

I do fancy the idea of a weekend by a mountain lake in the summer heat. The seaside remains in my preferences, especially sunrises on the beach or long walks on the shore at sunset. xo

We used to vacation at Lake Winnipesaukee as a kid but once I had my license it was off the the beach for me. I think a lake can be just as relaxing, if not more so. The fish kind of freak me out! xo

Although I live on a lake, I have to say that I adore the beach ten times more. There's something about the constant waves that makes me happy.

It'll be either lake or beach for us this weekend and I can't wait to leave the city behind.

Garden party sounds fabulous ;-)

I just love being by the water....ocean is always my first choice, but I would be happy dangling my legs off a dock by the lake!

Enjoy whichever way you go!

I really love both beaches and lakes - but growing up in northern MN my childhood is also filled with fond memories of going to the lake. And it is nice because some of our lakes in MN have pretty nice beaches...for a lake!
Much love,
B

That's a hard question! I don't know... I love the Ruche captures, they are all so beautiful and you've used them here so beautifully in combination with other images <3

I like either but a low key weekend for the holiday sounds like a good plan. More relaxing! :)

I grew up about 45min from the beach, so I'm a beach girl. But come to think of it, the alke was closer. Ha. I hope your weekend is fun and relaxing,

i grew up on a lake but now live on the california coast, so the ocean has my heart! these photos remind me of my childhood.

Both! Love the beach and the lake. Being surrounded by concrete and the city every day, I just love going anywhere in nature! :)

I'm not picky...they both are fantastic for different reasons in my book: lake is always fun because of fishing and beach is more relaxing and swimming...but I think I tend to avoid them on the 4th, I'm *SO* not a crowds person, yuck!

I also spent my childhood by the lakes. But if I could choose it would probably be the beach. I loooove waves!!! Tomorrow my vacation starts and we're leaving for the beach and Italy! Can't wait! Happy Summer and see you in August!
