Lady of Leisure

Hello, lovelies! How is the week treating you so far? I've been busy playing catch up since the weekend, as usual. It seems to be my summer routine these days. A few days away from the computer can really set you back. Plus work has been extremely hectic so there's little time for anything else the days that I'm in the city.

I'm loving my leisurely weekends but I can't help but fantasize about having that lifestyle all week long. Could you imagine? Waking up to coffee and a book while reading in the garden. Meeting friends for lunch. Taking strolls outside during the day? Sounds like heaven to me. I know in reality I'd probably get bored after a few weeks of it but I like to dream :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
xoxo

The mature person in me says that I would get bored but reality is is that I would LOVE it! Haha.

ah the life of leisure! it DOES sound a lot better than it actually is in real life ~ why is that? i guess we all need a lot of play and a little bit of work to balance it out ;)

Ahh, lovely photos!

I too sometimes dream of being a lady of leisure. Actually I dream of being a freelance writer who can work from home and wake up whenever I darn feel like it to do my lovely, leisurely writing :)

Beautiful post!! I completely agree, it would be amazing to be a lady of leisure. Plus they usually have the ability to work on a ton of philanthropy projects. Sounds amazing if you ask me! Have a lovely week!

I think the same exact thing...I mean the part about being bored after a couple weeks! (c: Even thought those days are *amazing*...there is nothing quite as satisfying as accomplishing something worthwhile...everything has to have an opposite, right?

Dude I fantasize about that every day! That would be magnificent! Ha.

I would love to have time to enjoy leisure every day. I am sure I could find ways to keep myself from getting bored. Ah that would be the life...but in the meantime I must stay as a working woman.
Much love,
B

Hi lovely Dawn. I too love days where I can pretend to be a lady of leisure ... since I am my own boss, I kind of CAN do that occasionally but not everyday if I want to have a business! haha It's so warm today and I was just thinking how nice it would be to curl up on a big front porch somewhere with a glass of ice tea and a book ... perfect weather for it! xoxo

I lived that life of leisure when I first came to Spain. Trust me sweetheart, after a few months you will be going stir-crazy. That's why weekends are so special now, because it is only two days ;-)

We must be on the same schedule!? I too have been trying to play catch up after putting the computer away for the last 3 days. It is always nice to feel like a lady of leisure . . . but I think all of the books and readings and lunches would turn into me wanting to go back to school or create some huge business or design some insane project . . . when my mind has that much time to wander, it leads to BIG ideas! xo Samantha

Sounds like the perfect plan to me, Dawn. I wouldn't get bored if I had the finances to just go shopping! xo

I feel the EXACT same way. I can't seem to keep up with anything with it being so pretty outside! I'm almost ready for winter so that I can get back to work! :)

I think it would be lovely but agree that it might get boring after a while, I think a more balanced mixture is the key, part time work, part time play, oh to dream!!

I would love to have that lifestyle just for the weekends. It sounds so relaxing; love that hat!

It does sound lovely...but like you, I'd get bored pretty quick. That's the lovely thing about the city - its busy, and makes you feel alive :)
