Autumn in the City

Good morning, lovelies! Can't believe it's Thursday already. The week seems to be flying by. I just love weeks like that! :)

NYC is a fabulous place to live year round but in my opinion there's no better time than the fall. It's even more picturesque than usual with the kaleidoscope of changing leaves. Walks through Central Park are seriously a feast for the eyes.

And there's no better way to pass the time than by people watching over a cappuccino at a sidewalk cafe. NYers seriously bring it this time of year. The fashion parade is something to see!

And of course there's all of the excitement around the holidays. As of November the outdoor rinks are already open and that magical feeling is starting to fill the air.

Have any of you ever visited NYC in the fall? If not, you definitely should. And be sure to let me know if you're in town :)

Enjoy the day, sweets!

xoxo

Gorgeous. Houston isn't really having a fall (no surprise) and these pics are making me miss living in Boston, where the leaves were always stunning. xo

Hey dawn, you make NYC sound so alluring. I am in love with Europe, and have somehow never visited US. But a visit is on the cards, some time next year.

Enjoy the Fall.

I am sure NY is beautiful in autumn, just as I imagine it is all year round. It's high on my list of places to visit. :)

This mad me miss NYC badly! Actually it was just this time of year that I spent a week there with my husband ~ normally we just do quick trips for work but we decided to extend one. I had SO much fun ~ I walked to every museum, through Central Park, and all the fun shopping districts. The biggest compliment was when people would mistake me for a New Yorker :) I miss it!

I've been in the dead cold of winter, the humidity of summer and the rainy spring. I've yet to visit during the beautiful autumn season. Hmm... might be too late this year but I am making it a priority for next fall and when I do get there again you will be on the top of my list! xo

So pretty! I've been to NYC once during the fall and it really was unreal! I love how you described Central Park as a "feast for the eyes"... so true! :) Hope you have a fabulous day!

Dawn,
I completely agree that NYC is the place to be in the fall!

When I lived there, I loved seeing the fashions and I loved really dressing with layers.

I have to admit when I'm dropping my kids at school and on my way to yoga, I'm not really cutting a fashionable figure. But, this makes me want to try harder!!!

Today looks like the perfect day for a warm drink at a sidewalk cafe!!

You always choose the loveliest photos for your posts! NYC can be just splendid this season when the air is crisp and the golden leaves cover the parks. I'm not going to complain that it's going to be in the 60's today though ;)

I will be in NYC Thanksgiving week and I am so excited about it. I have always loved each time I have been to NYC in the past but every time before has been in either the Summer or Spring, so I can't wait to experience New York in a different time of the year.

New York in the fall always gives me a feeling of butterflies in my stomach and reminds me of the smell of vendors on the street selling bags of chestnuts. Hope you enjoy a cappuccino at a sidewalk cafe for me today Dawn!
