Magical Moments

Good morning, loves! How's the week treating you all so far?

Well it's certainly starting to feel a whole lot like Christmas over here. Especially after getting to experience Handel's Messiah in all it's glory last night. What an incredible experience. And my seats were front row center! I had goosebumps for hours after!

Also helping the shape the mood....the temperatures have dropped, the wreath is hung, the presents are wrapped and the house is finally all done up. There's still lots to do, baking, cooking and a little rearranging, but I feel like everything's coming into place and I'm just going to enjoy this magical time of year. The past few years have taught me what is important in life so there's no point in sweating the small stuff. In the end the holidays are about spending time with your loved ones, right?

How are you all doing with your holiday preparations?

Enjoy the day, sweets!

xoxo

In memory of my best friend Derek who passed away almost a year ago. He would have been celebrating his 40th birthday today. I cherish all the moments we had together and I remember and celebrate him today and each and every day.

Beautiful post!! It is most important to spend it with those you love most and not get too brushed over by the small things..life goes so fast! I know your friend would love this post and your sentiments!! I had two childhood friends that passed away on Christmas Day when we were teens, so Christmas has always been a bit more to me than presents and things. I hope you have a wonderful time surrounded by love!!! xoxox

Sounds like you are well on track Sweets. Read just recently that Handel completed The Messiah in only 28 days as he was living in abject poverty and was desperate for money! Makes it even more incredible when you know that ;-)

Glad you had a great time last night at the concert - I am sure it was amazing! I cannot believe Christmas is almost here, but it is feeling like Christmas. We had a few friends over last night for mulled wine to celebrate Christmas - so fun!
Much love,

My preparations are coming together but I too am very much about family, friends and enjoyment this year and have decided to leave the stress at the back door!

The first image here reminds me of Alexa Chung. Not sure if you know her but she is a model turned TV presenter in the uk and her style is edgy+soft all in one.

Good luck with the prep

Lovely idea with the dedication to your friend Derek

My distant BFF! ;) Everything's coming together for you nicely... now bring on the presents! hehe! So glad you enjoyed your night out - sounds perfect! There's something about the holidays, being with the ones you love in the comfort of your own home... it's so warm and homey! Thinking of you and your best friend today, cheers to his good life. xoxo, LRT

I wanted to make a bauble wreath this year for Christmas but I think I've left it a bit late... Next year.

Nice to hear that you're getting into the Christmas spirit over there. Here in Sweden I'm just about to go out and do some last minute gift shopping and then I think I will consider myself ready for Christmas!
