Toasty Twosome

nullnullnull

Good morning, lovelies! Hope you're having a great week so far.

It's been brutally cold here in NY the past few days. So cold that I don't even like to leave my bed, nevermind the apartment! But since I really have no choice in the matter, I've been relying on my toasty staples to keep me warm while braving the elements, layers upon layers of knitwear and a hot cup of coffee in hand.

How are you all staying toasty these days?

xoxo

In some areas in Belgium this night was the coldest one we've had this winter. But I can't complain; winter hasn't really arrived here at all.

But today I'm in bed with my daughter, who has a fever and a cold. It's nice to stay in bed knowing that it's a bit cold outside.

Enjoy your day and those layers!

Loving all this coziness..yumm. Yes cold cold cold, and at least we should have some snow to show for it! I have been layering like crazy, used all my scarves this season and having lots of coffee and tea with me at all times!

My daughter was in NYC this past weekend for her friend's sweet 16th and she said it was brutal walking around, it was so cold. Stay warm, Dawn!! I warm my car up in the garage and put on my warmest coat. xo

It's been very cold here too, but not as cold as in other winters. Plus, we still haven't seen any snow in Bucharest this winter. Have a wonderful day, Dawn! And stay warm. xo

Beautiful post! :) Ohhhh man Dawn.... that doesn't sound too delightful at all, but a great reason to stay in bed! It's not as bad in Charlotte, but still a bit chilly. I've been counting on my extra comfy circle scarfs that put like 20 lbs on my upper body but it's sooooo worth it! Happy Tuesday! xo

It's absolutely freezing here in London today! I bundled up like a snowman and still lost all feeling in my extremities! I have got the heater on full and am refusing to move away from it! Your inspiration photos make me want to crawl up in bed with a hot drink and thick wool socks!

Mmmm, love those toasty-looking knits! I love to bundle up in layers and layers on days like this. We have a "wintry mix" falling today and I'm clinging to my coffee mug to warm my hands, wrapped in a scarf indoors, and cozy in leggings & SmartWool socks - the ultimate socks for staying warm! Stay toasty, sweets! xoxo

I'm loving these cozy images! I wish I could stay tucked in at home today : )

Mmmm these picture are SO snuggly and they have me wishing that I was all tucked up in bed in cozy knits as opposed to a little damp from my freezing commute, in my desk chair!

That bed looks so inviting! I've been avoiding going out unless I have to and when I do it feels like it takes forever to get dressed cause of all the layers. The key to staying warm for me is keeping my extremities covered. Enjoy the balmy weather today :)

I will not leave the house without a hot cup of coffee or tea to help keep my hands warm. I also love that my car heats up fast and has heated seats - so that is helping me stay warm as I drive into work in the bitter cold mornings! And layers are always key.
Much love,
B

It's so cold it hurts my eyes to walk outside! But our heater makes out apartment a sauna so not much of a happy medium. Let's do dinner next week!

My stay warm strategy is a combo of hibernation, hot coffee and warm layers.

You might kill me for saying this but I'm kind of over the 70 degree weather in California. I really want the opportunity to get cozy!

Joie de Viv said...

It's gotten cold in SoCal suddenly too. Don't laugh, but our house is always colder than outside (like 62 degrees in general). I'm dependent on my fuzzy bootie slippers and lots of scarves!

Like you a hot cup of coffee in one hand while layered up. It doesn't hurt to have an adorable puppy prancing in the snow besides you, sure to take your mind off the cold.

Hi Dawn, The knit bedding looks just the thing. It's only starting to get cold here so we haven't had to bundle up much. They are predicting snow tonight so will get a chance to pull out the woolies tomorrow.

Stay warm!
